Shipping - Australia Post
Is there anyone here that is using Australia Post for shipping?

Scott Hopkins I am using an api for shipping rates and I am not sure if it is going to work with Fluent Cart. I had to keep one of my shops on Woo cause Fluent doesn't allow for Deposits. I was hoping to find someone that was using it so I could get a handle on whether or not the api will work.
Fiona Bryce as far as i know FC doesn't support live shipping rates (yet)... if you were confident coding it up it may be possible to build what you need. or maybe in the next days with the birthday releases they may add what is needed for live shipping rates.
Scott Hopkins thanks. that is what I thought. Hopefully it will be like Bricks where I purchased the product even though it was above my paygrade and when I caught up I was able to start using it!
John Mac has implemented live shipping rates from shippo - he may be able to provide some input here
Fiona Bryce Australia post is supported in Shippo, and therefore in my plugin. But people talk about two different ways of having live shipping rates. One is in the checkout itself, where the customer can choose. This is not what I have been building on my requests.
Then there is live shipping rates in WP admin for the FluentCart shipping. This is what you get in the Shippo plugin. You can see more here:

John Mac cool - thanks for replying - so your plugin is for the admin only and not on the front end. have you looked at making the live rates work on the front end?
John Mac so how does the customer know what they are paying in shipping? thanks for the link i will go suss it out. hopefully there will be a trail i can test on staging :)
Scott Hopkins When I got the request for making the plugins I have for FluentCart now, it was from what clients wanted at that time. I was considering looking into live shipping rates in checkout, but that's another level of complexity I think. I was also expecting to maybe see this coming in FC eventually anyway. If I'm to spend time on this, it has to make sense. I'm not promoting my plugin store much, so few people know these extensions exist.

Fiona Bryce Having a trail plugin is not something I do. But I have a full refund of course if its crap and not working as you expect :)
