Settling up a split payment subscription early - possible?
I have a customer who has chosen to split a purchase over 3 payments. After the first payment they've decided they want to just settle it all up and pay the rest immediately.
Is this something that is possible anywhere? The payment was processed with Stripe so maybe it's possible there if anyone knows?
Maybe cross upgrade path?
Jeff I tried an upgrade path to the single payment option, but the pro rata discount calculated incorrectly. It seems to be based on length of time rather than payments made. So just for ease, say you had a $90 product being paid over 3 months. They've paid $30 and 10 days later they want to pay the whole thing - the prorata only discounts $10 from the full price version rather than the expected $30. Makes sense as the split payment option is just a fixed term subscription behind the scenes.
Unless I'm missing another route I could take?
Ross FCA I think you could uncheck prorate and give straight dollar amount off instead, let them do the cross grade, then delete that upgrade path afterwards. shoot, I forgot, they don't have cross grade built in yet. It only works if it's a variation of the same product. maybe this weeks update? supposed to be coming🤞
Ross FCA agreed. general solution may not be possible. at least I can't think of a way right now. maybe needs a feature request or a new "pay off installment early" plugin 😁
