Q3 Done! Time for you to shape Q4 releases!
Hello great people!
You already know a lot about what we did in Q3. 12 Total releases covering a lot of features that were must haves.
Understandably, not everyone of you went through the Release Notes and Emails.
So here's a round up if you want a refresher on what's now possible with FluentCart.
That being said, we're looking forward to the last quarter of this year and what we can bring that truly benefits your stores and workkflows.
We sent out a request for reviews and we got an overwhelming response. Nothing makes our day better than to see you're benefiting from FluentCart.
But now we also need to know what's holding you back from unlocking the true potential of your store with FluentCart.
One thing we know for sure, is that a lot of you are waiting on the official shipping platform integration. We've noted 33 (out of nearly 3000) support tickets specifically requesting Shipping integration.
Trust us when we say we are aware of the need and are working towards bringing the shipping solution as soon as possible.
If there's anything else that you need to improve your experience or something that is preventing you from moving into FluentCart we want to know about it. Try to keep the requests rooted in your daily needs. Swamping us with a lot of Nice-to-haves won't be helpful in this regard. Tell us what you "NEED" RIGHT NOW!
We humbly request your cooperation in making the future of eCommerce on WordPress smoother and even more comprehensive.
FluentCart turns 1yo next week, and we want you to know that it's come this far in this short time only because you've been part of the process. FluentCart is meant to be a product with the community at the center. We appreciate every single on of you that took the time to send us your reviews and feedback. This also includes any bugs/issues you've reported.
Looking forward to an awesome Q4 and best wishes for your stores and ventures.
Rasel Siddiqe.
Would be nice to have full builder parity with the features in Beaver Builder that exist in Bricks, etc.
Félicitations à l'équipe,
Il serait intéressant de pouvoir appliquer un code coupon sur des produits même en période d'essai.. et que la promotion en pourcentage ou en monnaie, soit prise en compte à l'issue de la période d'essai.
I believe shipping is requested many times in the community aside from your support system. To me, that's one of the essentials unlocking actual consideration of FluentCart for real physical e-commerce. I would like a POS system for markets also. Eventually warehouse integrations along with shipping.
Nelson Miller agreed on the physical shipping integration!
Nelson Miller agree as well! To be able to intergrate with a warehouse would be gold, along with shipping. :)
What I really need (and for now shaped myself) is an option to create checkout pages for my courses and info-products, like this: https://sanderwielemaker.nl/checkout/actiehelden/
and
https://sanderwielemaker.nl/checkout/afrekenen/
The one I show you is build around FluentCart and I love it.
What also would be a great feature is a custom thank you page, based on a product.
For now I love FluentCart and the other Fluent products. And it’s getting better week after week. Update after update.
Sander Wielemaker custom thank you pages is available with Cartcubes : https://cartcubes.com/fluentcart/toolbox/tools/thank-you-page/ Nikhil Modi
Sander Wielemaker +1 for being able to set redirect pages per item purchase. Ideally robust funnels but at least redirect url per item purchase.
Big congrats... It's time for woo-commerce to shut down operations. Fluent cart have taken over
Great work! And looking forward for what is to come.
Payment integrations:
Bank-to-Bank payments would be great, GoCardless is a good source or something similar for direct ACH or Interac etransfers.
EasyPayDirect or another high-risk payment processor would be good. Only say that, as most that you have connected with, still run the risk of holding funds, when doing high valume, regardless of the type of product or service being sold.
Accounting software integration, if possible.
Lastly, Funnels, and upsell/down and custom redirect upon subscription selling system, and customer account options for cancel, hold subscriptions, with refund request build in, on or off switch for the merchant.
alex andreas my clients that are high risk (for whatever reason), usually use Authorize.net.
Wendy Perkins Shoef Thanks Wendy, Authorize.net does offer it and it does an ok job, but offering it as a 3rd party connection, which has caused connection and processing issues and extra fees that are just not needed, so my suggestion was for a direct connection.
alex andreas direct connection is definitely better.
Fluent cart funnel, dedicated product thank you page.
I am a tax attorney that primarily sells high-ticket legal services. I don't want to pay the large credit card processing fees on large payment amounts, which is the majority of my business. My clients have historically paid me via wire transfers which have no such fees. But I also want to sell many lower-priced products for which I am wanting to accept credit card payments. I currently cannot do both.
So what I really need are two things: (1) the ability to set different payment methods for different FluentCart products so that I can set high-ticket items to an ACH only payment method, and (2) the ability to sell hourly services (in addition to products) that can be charged via time increments such as 0.1 tenths of an hour.
Bonus Feature I could use is the ability to sell a product and charge a set percentage at checkout (i.e. 50% retainer) and the balance when services for a fixed fee product are completed, which could be triggered by completion of a FluentBoards task.
Teddy Skokos Love this request, Teddy!
This is also very close to our use case, so +1 to all of this.
For high-ticket payments, Stripe ACH and SEPA can already work very well for bank transfers while keeping fees dramatically lower than cards. ACH Direct Debit, for example, is typically capped rather than charged as a percentage of the full transaction, and Stripe can also review/increase certain transaction limits for larger payments through Support.
Being able to enable or disable payment methods per product would make this much more practical inside FluentCart: cards for lower-ticket products, and ACH/SEPA/bank transfer for high-ticket services.
I also really like the hourly billing and staged-payment idea: especially something like 50% upfront + 50% on completion, potentially triggered by a FluentBoards or Service task/status. That could make FluentCart much more useful for professional-service businesses!
Again, many ways to enhance FluentCart for service providers!
Jorge de los Reyes thank you for the feedback and support! These are must haves for me. I would expect they would be for other types of service professionals too.
Teddy Skokos I have all my automations set up by tags for this reason (ie: not on purchase) so that way for the large ticket items, they can pay via Zelle.
Wendy Perkins Shoef I don’t understand what you mean. Would you mind explaining? This may help me use FluentCart while I wait and hope for the features I requested.
Teddy Skokos I use FluentCRM for my automations (and FlowMattic when the needs are more complex) so your system might be different, but with tags you can trigger automations through anything that you can assign a tag on. It's obviously a little more work, but you can set up basically anything you need (aka sending an invoice on Fluent Board task completion).
For example, I have a client that has packages that are thousands of dollars. Her clients are usually either sending a check or paying via Zelle. We just set up the billing support so we'll figure out if her clients get the reminder emails.

Wendy Perkins Shoef oh cool! Thank you for the explanation! I’ll take a look at FlowMattic. It sounds like that would provide a solution for one of my needs.
I work with a lot of membership owners that have both physical and digital aspects to their offers. Right now, we are still leveraging Woocommerce because we need more robust subscription functionality: synchronized rebill dates and grace period flexibility, physical shipping integrations, and more flexibility in the rebill cadence (set 2 months, 45 day, etc). Another nice to have is the ability to sell prepaid subscriptions that still generate an order that syncs with the shipping integration (shipstation) for each of the individual fulfillments. So far, I have not found a modern solution to all of these things outside of Woo ... but it would be nice to have the seamless experience of Fluentcart in association with other Fluentstack plugins (community, fluentplayer, fluentforms, etc).
Breakdance integration, this is the only item apart from ship integration that stops me using it.
Richard Lane Phox elements is working on it! I'm soooo excited. Pretty sure he's gonna have the same ones he has for WooCommerce. https://phox-elements.com/
1) Proper multi-currency (user charged in the selected currency, not just a display currency as that's already covered by Vibe Code 's FC-Hub multi-currency). We use Paddle.
2) Support of FluentCart shortcodes (especially the products shortcode) in FluentCommunity spaces, lessons, pages, etc. Currently they don't render correctly, which blocks our migration from Learndash to FluentCommunity. Same for FluentCRM shortcodes (conditional sections) and fluentform shortcodes. It would be great to have more compatibility with Fluent products in FluentCommunity.
3) Better handling of free products/downloads (see many tickets on that topic), especially regarding reviews (they should be disabled by default for free products), max number of items (they should be set to 1 by default for free downloads), ability to exclude free products from the store performance when we want to be able to see paid products performance, etc. The focus is very much on paid physical products.
4) Not to break compatibility with published, official migration methods. I discussed our migration from EDD to FluentCart with Shahjahan Jewel beforehand, documentation was kindly provided for tags migration with the official migration tool as it was decided that tags migration from EDD would not be supported by the Fluent migration tool itself, we built our own migration tool on that official tags migration documentation and the whole thing was broken by Fluent suddenly, for no good reason as all was working perfectly. We reported this and the exact version that broke it, but apparently, it won't be restored, so we now have to replace all the tags filtering shortcodes in our website, as the syntax has inexplicably changed and is not the same as for categories, which is very confusing and inconvenient.
Apart from that hiccup, huge progress overall, so keep up the good work, and congrats to the team for an impressive year!
I would like to have the same product attribute functionality for simple products as is currently available for products with advanced variations. This would allow us to create and manage attributes centrally and assign the same attributes to products across the entire catalog, regardless of the product type.
For example, if we use attributes such as brand, material, dimensions, or technical specifications, we should be able to assign them to both simple and variable products. This would ensure a consistent product structure across the entire catalog, without having to use advanced variations just to add product attributes.
Puik Project And this would prevent the need for ACF in some situations.
Congrats, you have improved a lot since release and I'm sure you'll keep improving. A couple of things are preventing me from using the product at the moment.
1- Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but custom fields for products created with ACF for example, do not show up in the products edit pages. I have to go to the Wordpress post edit page to see them. I have not tested whether the custom fields edited that way can be accessed easily to be rendered on the front-end.
2- Being able to export product data as CSV, JSON or XML. Documentation says it should be possible with the pro version, but I don't have access to that.
Would appreciate some clarity regarding these two points, because I'd love to purchase the LTD, but design choices overlooking the top 2 points make me step on the brakes. Thanks
Marwan Alkhaleel I agree the ACF workflow in FC is a bit clunky. A more native integration on the main product edit screen would be welcomed.
For me, and probably most of the clients from LATAM, improving the MercadoPago gateway is the only reason I've not started migrating several WooCommerce to FluentCart.
The current integration is very limited, forces client to enter credit card details, instead of using native MercadoPago settings, which most clients use to avoid friction.
Fantastic work. Can we wish for Stripe Tax support?
Support for Stripe Credits for usage-based billing!
https://docs.stripe.com/billing/subscriptions/usage-based
easy to implement manually but i want to keep the client experience in the Fluent Cart experience
Biggest right now needs, 1. Dynamic Pricing 2. Flexible order bumps location/design options. 3. One-click upsells. Aside from that, you all are doing a fantastic job. Most of our clients have membership sites using woocommerce and use member based discounts to incentivize behaviors. I'm guesing member-bsed discounts might need to live in Fluent Members.
+1 for Dynamic Pricing! Member incentives are what we need right now.
I miss the ability to have more then one product in a subscription. This is the only thing that is keeping me from switching everything to FC.
Alternative could be paid product addons.
For my clients I was able to migrate some from woo allready.
2 top priorities for me, needs not nice to have:
1) list some country prices VAT inclusive (esp Switzerland) and others not (like the EU). This is a legal issue.
2) connect to Gelato POD. This a business issue.
Next on the list: translation with wp plugins like Polylang, etc. This is a credibility issue.
Thank you! I love how fast and lightweight Fluent cart is!
I'll add this excellent post for need 3:
https://community.wpmanageninja.com/portal/space/general/post/fluent-multilingual-setup
Fluent translate is the way to go because WP doesn't manage multiple languages well natively. You'd also reach a new segment of site owners, those who are just looking for a translation plugin and haven't yet thought of monetizing, CRM, etc.
That was my case for years. Then, you want something with a free tier and maintained.
For me, Shipping is huge and I may be one of the 33 tickets that you are counting. How can I sell and ship my products without a decent shipping integration?
I came to your product because I use several other fluent solutions and I absolutely love all of the integration and the only reason I moved away from my prior e-commerce platform was because of a lack of integration. Had I known that the Shipping was so weak I would’ve stayed where I was for another year until you got it together.
But no matter. It has been fun watching you evolve. For the Shipping, I’d really like to see lots of features like shipping cards and sizes and weights and some way of bundling those Shipping dimensions when an individual orders multiple items. So just being charged a flat fee per product then there is some kind of dynamic shipping calculation. The tool that I used to use before had API plug-ins to USPS and other shipping providers, which made a lot of of this very simple where users would simply entering their ZIP Code and select the type of Shipping that they wanted, and it would give them the options of which shipping to choose from. So I really hope that you present us with a great Shipping integration.
So that is my first must have and my second must have is giving us the ability to be able to present our catalogue products on the homepage as a category and we can simply place an image for that category. Period for example if we are selling scuba diving equipment then the front page of the store will show the various types of equipment for example, example masks , snorkel, regulators, BCD’s, wetsuit, accessories etc and we can simply place an image for those categories. Same with manufacturers where they can sort by manufacturers, and we can simply add an image of the manufacturers logo, for example, Shearwater, Garmin, Apeks, Deep6 etc
If I had both of these in the product it would be absolutely awesome
Oh, and one more thing, I think that the CSV import tool needs a lot of work because how am I going to import 30 of my manufacturers products into my platform when each of these manufacturers may have two or 300 products. As it stands now to CSV import is very rudimentary, and unless you put in a lot of time to create a HTML style product description into the CSV that it is going to look like a child, wrote it following the import.
Regardless, I think you’ve got a great product and I’m looking forward to the future
Composite ‘pick and mix’ products — being able to create products, bundles and subscriptions here people choose individual elements so they build their own bundle.
Clearer integration with RankMath
Custom taxonomy with search bar
Definitely shipping
Licensing for photographers
Bulk discounts
I use Astra, a widely popular theme yet to customise the FC product layout pages of FC I need to php edit the templates which precludes my editorial team from development. I expected customisation would be simpler but unless I migrate to as block based theme u understand that it is not possible. Please support an easier way to customise the default FC product pages.
Congrats for the great work ! 👍
Thanks for asking :)
I've posted many feature requests and ideas over the past year through support tickets. Some big and many smaller improvements. A lot of them haven't come to life yet. I hope that older requests that are on your backlog won't be forgotten.
But what I really NEED RIGHT NOW?
1) Local pickup location selector with available time slots, per day. This would make FC much more suitable for local stores, bakeries, food related businesses that rely on local pickup of food orders. Currently this category of business is not covered very well by FC.
2) Product stock per day (define how many units of an item are available for purchase on a given day) This is great for food related stores like bakeries or local pickup restaurants that may only have a limited stock per item which varies per day. It's a specific feature I need for a current project and potentially future ones, and it ties in with point 1 about FC not covering this type of business very well yet.
3) A deposits feature. Set a deposit amount to charge on a product. (stacking, so 3x if the customer orders 3 of that item) Again, sticking with the food related business example, it's common to charge a deposit fee on returnable items such as cans, bottles, food containers, etc., There'd have to be a nice refund flow for giving back the customer's deposit amount.
4) A full 1st class integration with Themeco's Cornerstone page builder and/or a full suite of shortcodes for EVERYTHING (good to have in general), if that's quicker to implement in the meantime.
Congrats on your amazing 1st year guys and thank you for considering these features!
Customizations are a major concern for a client who is on WooCommerce. He has a made-to-order business for welding hats. Some items can be variations, but mostly he needs customizations and plenty of them per product. Some are for custom embroidery, but others are for the number of panels, the brim length, material choices, etc. He actually purchased FluentCart waiting to get away from WooCommerce. You've satisfied some of the things on his list to escape WooCommerce. I'd say that customizations along with the shipping integration you mentioned would allow us to migrate from his 10-year old WooCommerce shop. It'll be a pain in the neck to move, but I think the results will be worth it.
Ability to create a password during checkout instead of the (IMO cumbersome) email verification method it uses now. I should be able to buy access to a private community, set my password, and land directly on /portal.
And of course FluentMembers to control access to pages (some of our pages are public, some are not), but I know that isn't this thread.
I NEED Fluentcart to fully comply with EU law: 1) A native second checkbox for "waives the right of withdrawal" (adding the text to the checkbox terms is NOT possibly by EU law - it needs to be 2 separate checkboxes. 2) Adding several PDFs to confirmation e-mail. Again, EU law!! Terms etc must be sent NOT as a link, but in a „durable medium“ so as an attachment
I really love Fluentcart Pro - however, I cannot go online with my store until these two things are implented.
