How can we add a processing fee to digital or physical products?

If you want a processing fee without custom code, take a look at CartCubes Toolbox. It has a Cart Processing Fee toggle: you enter a flat amount and checkout adds a Processing Fee line to the cart total. That applies whether the cart has digital products, physical products, or both.

If you need the fee only when the cart has physical items (or only digital), say so and we can look at that.
