Feature Request: POS - Point of Sale

We sell online but also do tradeshows. With our Shopify, there is a POS solution. I hope that Fluent Cart will someday have a POS solution. Meanwhile, not sure how I will handle tradeshows. I guess I'll have to get a separate, third party payment solution and enter the sales manually.

Just thinking out loud here.

Why not use Stripe Terminal for the POS payment, and then use a webhook for that specific product/payment to automatically create the corresponding order in FluentCart?

You could probably identify the product through the PaymentIntent metadata and, once the payment succeeds, create the order through FluentCart’s API.

Check out eStorePOS in the WordPress.org repository: https://wordpress.org/plugins/estorepos. I have no affiliation with it, but I do use it myself. It fits nicely into the FluentCart dashboard style and works with receipt printers and label printers. It's also very responsive on mobile and tablet.

Sander W.Β This looks great. But only for cash? I wonder if there's any way to integrate credit card readers.

Nelson MillerΒ So far, only cash and/or manual card entry. I personally use tap-to-pay with the Mollie app on my smartphone and manually record the sale through the POS. This is definitely faster than creating a manual order every time.

Sander W.Β That's smart, good idea. And yes that makes sense, it isn't as perfect as it could be with a credit card reader, but creating the order and recording everything seems like it would work. I'm exploring this more. This seems like it can work with a little coding https://stripe.com/terminal/m2

Shahjahan JewelΒ I might be interested in creating an addon for POS using the Stripe Terminal, but I'd love to see it considered in core first. It could give that edge over the competition for very little extra work.

By far the best POS solution for WordPress that I’ve found. It’s designed for WooCommerce, but hopefully, something similar can become a core feature of FluentCart in the future... Shahjahan JewelΒ

Diego MaradonaΒ A POS should not be a core feature. Maybe a separate add-on, as only physical shops use POS.

Shahjahan JewelΒ FluentPOS perhaps? πŸ€”βœŒοΈπŸ˜Š

Diego Maradona ha ha ha. Let us make the core great first 😎
