Payment Plans for FluentCart
I’m building FCHub Payment Plans for FluentCart. Not another gateway. Nobody needs one more “revolutionary payment layer” wearing a settings page.
This plugin is for selling a product with a deposit now and the balance later.
What it does:
- add a Payment Plan tab directly on FluentCart products
- set a fixed deposit or deposit percentage
- set the balance as the remaining amount or a fixed amount
- choose a fixed balance date or “X days after purchase”
- show clear checkout disclosure and consent text
- use automatic collection when the selected FluentCart gateway supports subscriptions
- fall back to a normal FluentCart balance payment link when automatic collection is not available
- track schedules, reminders, retries, and gateway capability diagnostics
How is this different from built-in FluentCart installments?
FluentCart installments are subscription/installment based: intervals, trial days, bill counts, recurring logic. Very useful, but not the same as saying:
“Pay 200 EUR today, and everyone pays the remaining balance on 15 September.”
That fixed product-level balance deadline is the bit this plugin is built around.

Would you use this in your FluentCart store? What is missing? What would make it actually useful instead of just another plugin with a confident changelog and unresolved trauma?

I would use it in the future for sure.
As a fairly specific use case I have at the moment, tour/holiday sites that take an initial deposit, then divide the remaining balance into equal parts on a monthly basis, with the remaining amount being fully paid 60 days before departure date. So it would need to pick up the departure date from a custom field (ACF?), then calculate from todays date, subtract the deposit and total months before departure date etc etc... Or if 60 days already passed, charge the full amount.
I realise this is a big ask but as you asked for feedback, this could be very big for people selling holiday package websites etc. Like me 😊

interesting idea! I would also like to see a solution for a flexible payment plans beyond subscriptions. For instance, a deposit followed by X equal payments every y days.
