Option to disable "add to cart" button on a product
Hello, I am a lifetime customer. I need the option to disable the "add to cart" button on a product. Sometime we have a product from a third party and I only want a link on a product with no "add to cart" buttom. For example, we sell a robot and we have third party creators that build parts for the robot. We would like the product to show up in our store, but with the ability to link the product to their website. If I can not disable the "add to cart" button on a product it will confuse our customers. These are products I need to be able to link out.
Is it possible to do this? If not is this a feature that can be added? The ability to disable "add to cart" button on a product?
Thank you.
I may not understand completely, but can you mark this as inventory out of stock to achieve the same effect?
William BeemΒ Does it show to the customer "out of inventory" if I do that?
Peter KappesΒ Not sure, I haven't tried it yet.
Peter KappesΒ you can add third party products with https://fluentlywp.com/addons/fluently-toolkit/
Manuel MΓΌllerΒ I wasn't aware of this vendor. Looks interesting.
Manuel MΓΌllerΒ I wonder if I could get rid of Lasso for affiliate sales by combining FluentMarketing with FluentCart? I guess it depends if I can put products on a different WordPress site, or create product lists.
Manuel MΓΌllerΒ Which feature from that plugin allows me to do that? I just read through the list and did not see an option to remove "add to cart" button.
Peter KappesΒ I thought with βWe would like the product to show up in our store, but with the ability to link the product to their website.β you meant something like this
Manuel MΓΌllerΒ I must have missed that. Yes, that is exactly what I need. Thank you!
Peter Kappes I'm the creator of FluentlyWP, feel free to reach out with any and all feature ideas, we have so much in development it's crazy, and we base development on customer feedback.
Nelson MillerΒ Thank you. Are you working on a live shipping rate with UPS option? Are you able to share what kind of things you have in development or a link to a roadmap?
Peter KappesΒ We are a very small company and are bootstrapping, so we have not ventured into anything shipping related. We also would need to see how main features like that play out. We focus now on filling in the niche features while the plugin matures. I don't have enough bandwidth to keep a public roadmap updated, but we will have some big announcements soon.
Nelson MillerΒ Makes sense. Thank you.
