New regulations - renewal notices
New regulations are coming into effect in both the U.S. and Europe requiring a minimum notice period before subscription renewals.
I was wondering how FluentCart will handle this, particularly in the case of a user who has unsubscribed from mailing lists.
Just as a reminder: when using FluentCRM, if a user clicks βunsubscribe,β they are removed from all lists, not just the one that triggered the campaign. This raises a concernβif that same user still has an active subscription but is unable to receive emails, how will FluentCart/FluentCRM manage the renewal notice requirement?
Is there a way to classify these renewal notices as transactional emails so that they can still be delivered, even if the user has unsubscribed from marketing communications?
Bonus question: how will this affect cart abandonment features when the user is not on the data base but leaves the email during an incomplete checkout?
Thanks
yap! We will have this feature. If you use Stripe / PayPal, then Stripe and PayPal already handle that. But we will have that option as well.
Shahjahan Jewel Iβm not sure if Stripe or PayPal actually allow you to customize the schedule for these notices.
Depending on the jurisdiction, the requirements can varyβsometimes 15 days before, sometimes 3 days before, or even once every six months (depending on the type of subscription).
Thanks for clarifying this: having the ability to set it manually within FluentCart would be extremely useful!
By the way, will these Stripe/PayPal notices redirect the user to the payment processor, or will they point directly to the customer portal? (The latter seems more practical for management purposes π).
