Multi Currency in FluentCart is here!
Your store charges in dollars. Half your customers think in euros. The other half think in pounds. Nobody thinks in dollars except Americans, and even they're not sure anymore.
Visitors pick their currency, prices update everywhere, checkout tells them what they're actually paying. Simple concept.
Want to try? It's free Multi Currency Plugin
If you curious how it's done read here
send me your feedback and throw some ideas what to do better!
Vibe CodeΒ amazing...thank you so much...will be sharing the feedback whenever appropriate.
arjun arjunΒ can't wait... ideally find bugs and tell me what to do better
Vibe CodeΒ So far it's working very well for my case .... I will be reporting to you directly in the event of any bugs... since my currency is not available in the ECB Tier, I used the exchangerate-api here - https://app.exchangerate-api.com/sign-up. It's working well.
Man, you did a GREATTTT service with this invaluable contribution.
Best wishes to whatever you are doing in the area of business and service.
arjun arjunΒ good to hear man. what's ur currency?
Vibe CodeΒ Nepalese Rupee
arjun arjunΒ thanks. when you configure show a screenshot how it looks - if you want to share :P
Vibe CodeΒ So far, everything is working very well....And yes there is something about the "Buy Now Modal". If the checkout method is exclusively the modal based checkout, how to have the currency converter shortcode display there (inside the modal popup interface)? I think you can consider this situation as well.
arjun arjunΒ show the screenshot of that - let me fix... but so far dunno know modal :P
Vibe CodeΒ Do you have any workaround that makes it possible to display/output the currency converter shortcode inside the Modal Checkout form?
why it's free? https://fchub.co/blog/fchub-manifesto
That's really cool, the main advantage for me in using the AELIA Multi Currency Plugin in Woocommerce is the ability to fix prices in each currency accepted at a visually pleasing numbert negating any need for an exchange rate conversion. My Payment processing by Paypal and Stripe allows for payments to be truly made in the currencies chosen so there is no conversion for the end user.
I'm hoping this is the direction that the Multi Currency feature takes, and the ability to set a EUR price including VAT so that it's the same gross price no matter what the rate of VAT.
And man, you are doing some fine work here!!
Darren CowleyΒ can you open issue on github - I collect ideas for future releases - this one is great and challenging. https://github.com/vcode-sh/fchub-plugins/issues
Vibe CodeΒ Done!
Wow good job thank you!
1.2.0 released... check the changelog - it's a proper effort which is a collaboration of me and 2 ai ide agents working hard for over 5 hours... thanks to one dude reporting issue on Github ... https://fchub.co/docs/fchub-multi-currency/changelog#v120 π
This is quite amazing! Is there an easy way to stay informed if any updates are released?
I added the shortcode on my checkout page. My base currency is euro and the product price is 97. However when switching currencies the price is incorrect. (see screenshot). I am using the ECB exchange rates.
By the way, is there any option to change the button colour?
Learning Music SkillsΒ can u share config page with rates
Vibe CodeΒ Here are some screenshots
Learning Music SkillsΒ I'm really trying but can't reproduce that π€·ββοΈ
Vibe CodeΒ This is where I have placed the shortcode (on the check out page)
Learning Music SkillsΒ it's not switcher... just trying figure out why these amounts are awkward. - btw - switcher the best to be placed in navbar... and tonight you will see new switcher - one of a kind - fully configurable. for the first time ever I'm using my own sdk for building blocks - I will test it finally
Vibe CodeΒ unfortunately I cannot add short codes to my navigation bar :(
I'm using the kadence free theme. But also I don't want the switcher to show on pages that don't have any products.
I did not try it, but if I think about it, how do you create an invoice server-side correctly, if the conversion only happens client-side?
AndrΓ© DausΒ yeah... you first need to know what this plugin do... it's not full conversion - but probably will be in v2.0 - Shahjahan JewelΒ needs to click in few places on github :P.
I had to uninstall the plugin because it broke my integrations with FLuentcrm and Fluentcommunity.
A client purchased a course but not of the integrations fired.
After support did a test they found that when multicurrency is deactivated, the integrations fired as they should, but when it is active they don't fire.
Learning Music SkillsΒ can you share more details because I'd like to know what really happened to fix. What kind of integrations/automations.
Learning Music SkillsΒ before I published plugin I did couple of automation tests - so would be awesome if you explain what automation was "touching"
Learning Music SkillsΒ testing, patching, tweaking. please let me know what your automation was doing I will try here to make the same and see if all pass.
So I went full forensics on the hook chain β multi-currency doesn't touch FluentCRM automations. FluentCRM registers its triggers before our code even loads. They fire first. We can't block what's already happened.
The bug that was killing your automations in 1.3.0? A TypeError from us mishandling FluentCart's event payload. Fixed in 1.4.0. Both handlers now catch everything β they physically cannot crash the chain.
Also threw in some extras while I was in there:
- admin panel actually tells you when something fails now (revolutionary, I know)
- diagnostics tab shows if your FluentCRM custom fields exist or not
- new mc_order.* smart codes so your emails can show amounts in the customer's currency
Give 1.4.0 a go and shout if anything's off. The diagnostics tab will snitch on whatever's broken before you have to.
Vibe CodeΒ The order that had the issue was a course, with an extra course purchased via order bump.
So what happened was that the client never existed in fluentcrm ( so also no tags applied, lists etc ) and he was also not enrolled in the private fluentcommunities and courses.
Sorry for the late reply btw but I was not able to comment sooner.
Learning Music SkillsΒ that is the case! boom. 1.4.0 fixed that precisely :)
Hey Vibe CodeΒ , many thanks for this, this is awesome, and it works really great!
I'm using the currency switcher shortcode. I was wondering if you could add a little spinner, so that when the currency is switched, the screen dims a little and a spinner shows up, so you know something is happening?
Any updates, keeping an eye out for:-)
Great Work!!
Any news about the ability to fix prices in each currency accepted per product without the need for an exchange rate conversion?
the payment will be proceed in the chosen currency (no conversion)
Thanks
lionel azoulayΒ waiting for PR to be accepted on github. up to wpmanageninja team how they proceed with opensource suggestions, code etc. so far zero news. over a month of waiting :/
thanks for your quick reply.
Keep up updated.
But is it possible to charge in the selected currency?
For Example, My base currency is USD, if a user select NGN, they should be able to checkout in NGN.
Stripe for example does not support NGN, and most Nigerian cards does not support international transactions, So If there is an option to charge in the selected currency or select payment gateway per currency it will be great.
