Gift cards
How do you guys handle gift cards? There needs to be a way to add some fields like personal message, and special sending options physical to own address, physical to other address, local pick up and download.
Especially the physical/download for the same product seems a challenge...
Any help?
I used to create custom Gift cards just creating Coupons after purchase. (You can for example ask for the required email during checkout so as to block that coupon to the email provided by the client).
It worked very well.
I used to play with this as birthday gift cards and so, and worked like a charm. You need to think on the workflow, but in the end it's pretty flexible.
And you can also automate the creation of a custom image with the coupon (gift card) which increases the "quality" of the "product".
