Free shipping based on minimum order amount – implementation status?
Hi,
I'm currently setting up shipping in FluentCart and noticed that there doesn't seem to be an option to offer free shipping based on a minimum order value.
What I'm trying to achieve is the fairly standard setup:
Order below 1,000 SEK → 100 SEK shipping
Order of 1,000 SEK or more → Free shipping
Ideally, the threshold should be based on the order value after discounts.
I noticed that the FluentCart developer documentation already describes this functionality. For example, the Shipping Module documentation shows a Free Shipping method with:
minimum_amount => 5000 // Free shipping over $50
and also shows calculation logic where free_shipping is only available when the cart total reaches minimum_amount.
However, in the current FluentCart UI, the Free Shipping method has no minimum-order setting. I also tested adding minimum_amount directly to the shipping method's settings in the database, but this had no effect.
Is conditional free shipping already implemented somewhere but not yet exposed in the UI, or is the developer documentation describing functionality that is still planned?
If it is still planned, is there an ETA for this feature?
I would consider this a fairly essential e-commerce feature. Free shipping above a certain order value is a standard way of increasing average order value, and it is functionality merchants will generally expect when moving from platforms such as WooCommerce.

You can check Discount Rules for this. It may get you the same result with this setup:
- In FluentCart shipping, set a flat rate of 100 SEK.
- In Discount Rules, add a cart rule: fixed amount, 100.
- Condition: Items subtotal, Greater than, 999.
At 1,000 SEK or more, that takes 100 SEK off the cart.
