FluentCart removed Funnel Builder & Upsells from the roadmap - good move or huge mistake?
I was just reading the FluentCart roadmap and noticed something big…
⬇️ Funnel Builder
⬇️ Upsell / Order Bumps
…are no longer on the roadmap.
That’s HUGE for a cart solution trying to compete with WooCommerce + other eCommerce stacks.
So let’s settle this:
Do you think removing these features is:
🔹 A - Smart move (focus on core & stability)
🔹 B - Big mistake (funnels & upsells are must-haves)
🔹 C - Neutral (there are other ways to build them)
🔹 D - I don’t care, I use it anyway 😆)
And more importantly - why? 👇
For me personally: B - Big mistake: because funnels & upsells are core to increasing average order value, and without them, FluentCart has to rely on external plugins that break the “lightweight cart” promise.
I’m really curious what the community thinks.
A - for the simple and good reason is to have first something solid and without particular bugs. These two things can be added later without worries in my opinion.
My answer is A and B.
First, it is important to prioritize reliability to compete with WooCommerce.
If the base is not stable and reliable, it will be difficult to grow the ecosystem.
Then, sales funnels should be integrated, because today they are essential.
In 2026, selling only through a simple website is no longer really recommended, except for pure e-commerce.
For people using FluentCommunity to sell online courses, sales funnels are very important.
They help convert visitors into customers and guide users through a structured buying process.
It would also help close the Fluent ecosystem loop, because almost everything already exists:
- FluentCommunity → community and courses
- FluentCRM → email automation and marketing
- FluentAffiliate → promotion and affiliates
- FluentBooking → coaching calls and appointments
So FluentFunnel would make a lot of sense.
Maybe it could even be a separate plugin, like what happened with FluentPlayer.
That could make it easier to connect with FluentCRM and keep the system modular.
I’m convinced the Shahjahan Jewel WP Manage Ninja team can easily compete with CartFlows by building a simple, fast funnel plugin fully integrated with the Fluent ecosystem. 🚀
This is very necessary, please add it back to the road map
