FluentCart > Reactivating a Subscription + Subscription Cancelation Survey
Two ideas:
First, I’ve noticed that, unlike other subscription management platforms, when a subscription is cancelled and the customer tries to use the “Renew/Restart Subscription” option from their profile, they’re asked to enter all their customer information again.
I think a one-click “Resume Subscription” option would offer a much better experience, ideally with a simple confirmation step such as: “Are you sure you want to resume this subscription?”
If the customer and payment details are already available and reusable, there shouldn’t be much friction involved in restarting the subscription.
Second, we’ve always gathered extremely useful feedback during subscription cancellations through very short surveys with custom questions.
I think this could be a really valuable feature for FluentCart: allowing store owners to ask one or two quick questions during cancellation and store that feedback for later analysis.
I’m personally not a big fan of cancellation discounts, but I’m sure many users would also find them useful: especially if they could be triggered through custom rules based on the cancellation reason provided by the customer.
That combination (easy subscription resumption + cancellation feedback + optional conditional retention offers) could make the whole subscription management flow much stronger.
Also, as an extra feedback, the Cancellation button, imho, is still a bit hidden for the average, non techy user.
+1 from me.
