I recently released a new plugin called:

Caygri Checkout Fields for FluentCart

It extends the checkout experience for websites using FluentCart by allowing additional checkout fields such as:

• VAT number
• SDI / invoicing fields
• extra customer information

Hey Elena,

I just purchased the plugin, but unfortunately it's currently not very useful for my use case.

I was hoping for more advanced conditional logic – specifically:

• Show different text/fields based on the product being purchased
• Pass field values to FluentCRM as custom data or tags
• Include custom field values on the PDF receipt/invoice
• Display field data on the order confirmation and billing documents
• It would also be a nice touch if the field management was integrated directly inside FluentCart instead of being a separate menu

Without these features, the plugin doesn’t really solve my problem. A few questions:

• Are any of these features planned for upcoming versions?
• Is it possible to output custom field values on the PDF invoice?
• Can field data be passed to FluentCRM?

If these things aren’t on the roadmap, I’d honestly have to ask for a refund, as the plugin wouldn’t be useful for me in its current state.

Just to clarify a few things about the current scope of the plugin:

• The plugin is not designed for product-level extra fields or product option fields.
It is specifically focused on checkout-level custom fields for invoicing, B2B workflows and additional order/customer information.

• Native integration directly inside FluentCart admin is unfortunately not something I can fully implement independently, since I’m not the owner/developer of FluentCart itself and I want to keep the plugin update-safe and compatible with future FluentCart updates.

• Regarding FluentCRM integration:
I completely agree it would be fantastic and extremely useful, especially for automation and segmentation workflows.
At the moment I would need to properly study FluentCRM internals and integration architecture before implementing it correctly. It’s definitely something I may work on in future versions.

In the meantime, I’ve already released a new PRO update that adds:

• Extra field output inside order emails
• Extra field output on order confirmation / thank you pages
• PDF / invoice support through order metadata and shortcode integration

I also prepared a tutorial document explaining step-by-step how to include the fields inside compatible PDF invoice templates in case they do not automatically appear depending on the billing plugin being used.

One small suggestion for the future 😊
In Europe, software purchases generally do not include mandatory refund rights like physical products do. Since there is already a free version available, these kinds of questions could also have been clarified before purchasing the PRO version.

That said, I genuinely appreciate your enthusiasm, support and detailed feedback — it’s helping shape the plugin roadmap in a very practical direction 🚀

thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately the plugin does not cover the features I actually need, so it’s not useful for my use case in its current state.

Regarding the refund: I did not consent to the waiver of my right of withdrawal before or during the purchase – there was no such checkbox or notice presented to me. Under EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), I am therefore entitled to withdraw from this purchase within 14 days.

I would kindly ask you to process the refund accordingly.

As specified there, digital products and downloadable software are treated differently from physical goods under EU regulations, particularly once delivery/download access has been provided.

In this case:

• the plugin was delivered instantly as downloadable digital software
• the functionality and scope were publicly described before purchase
• a free version was available for compatibility testing before upgrading to PRO

That said, I appreciate the constructive feedback and the time you spent testing the plugin.

As a gesture of goodwill — and because the plugin is still actively evolving — I’m still willing to process the refund amicably.

Regarding your Terms & Conditions and EU Law, please note that under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the right of withdrawal for digital content only expires if the consumer has given their express prior consent to waive this right (usually via a mandatory checkbox during checkout) before the download begins. Since no such notice or checkbox was presented to me during the purchase process, the right of withdrawal remains legally valid.

Given your explicit confirmation in the previous message to process the refund as a gesture of goodwill, I kindly ask you to honor that agreement and complete the refund.

After the larger improvements introduced in the latest releases, v1.1.10 focuses on polishing the new diagnostic system and fixing the last small issue reported during real-world testing.

🔧 What’s fixed in v1.1.10?

Clear Diagnostic Log

We fixed an issue where clicking Clear Diagnostic Log could display the WordPress message:

“The link you followed has expired.”

The Clear Log action now uses its own dedicated security nonce and works independently from the main plugin settings form.

🛠 Diagnostic Mode: available when you need it

As introduced in v1.1.9, the plugin now includes a built-in Diagnostic Mode, designed to make troubleshooting easier without generating unnecessary logs during normal store operation.

Diagnostic logging is:

OFF by default → Enable when needed → Reproduce the issue → Check/send the log → Clear the log → Disable diagnostics

This gives us much better information when troubleshooting a specific store while keeping production installations clean.
