FluentCart Addons
There are a few features I'd love to see in FluentCart that don't quite exist yet. Is anyone using any third-party plugins (for pre-orders or wishlist for example) for fluent cart that they really enjoy? I'm looking for some features specifically but am also just looking to survey the landscape a bit.
Hi,
We build FluentCart addons at CartCubes. Wishlist is available now (lists, share links, and the customer portal). Waitlist handles back-in-stock emails. We do not offer pre-orders yet.
If you share the two or three features you need most, I can point you to the right addon:
Nikhil ModiΒ This looks great! Love that you're dedicated to WordPress cart products. Thanks for sharing!
I think pre-orders and back-in-stock notifications are the two things I'm most interested in. But there are some other enticing options too like invoices. Are pre-orders on the roadmap at all?
Nikhil ModiΒ Would also love to see custom fields on the product object that are not shown on the front end
A SMITHΒ Hi A Smith, glad it was useful.
Pre-orders are on our roadmap. If you share the main things you need (coming soon, pay now and ship later, or a deposit), that helps us shape it.
Could you also say a bit more about the product fields that should stay off the storefront? For example: who fills them (staff only?), what they store (internal notes, ERP IDs, cost), and whether they should later show on the order in admin. Checkout fields in Toolbox are filled by the shopper. This would be extra fields on the product itself, in the product editor.
Nikhil ModiΒ Pre-orders, coming soon, pay now and ship later are all interesting to me. As for the product fields. There's data I want to store on the product so that I can send that data to another system for via API. A field like this would store an external ID value to match the sale of that product in fluentcart to an external system. This would be internal data entered by staff only. It would be helpful to display on the order data for internal staff only. As you mentioned this would be filled out on the product editor. This is a value the end consumer would not need to see. Thanks for your responsiveness. Much appreciated!
A SMITHΒ Hi A Smith,
Thank you for the clear request. We have addedΒ Internal Product DataΒ in Toolbox for FluentCart for this.
Staff can add name and value rows on the product editor, such as an External ID or ERP code. This stays off the storefront. Customers never see it on the site or in their account.
When an order is placed, those values are copied onto the order so your team can see them in admin and match the FluentCart sale in another system. Editing the product later does not change data already stored on past orders.
We are testing this now and will release it soon.

Nikhil ModiΒ I would also love to be able to set a recurring payment that last for a finite amount of time rather than recurring indefinitely. I.e. a membership that lasts for 3 months or 1 month and doesn't renew automatically but membership access is revoked at the end of the interval.
I'm currently building A few plugins that I will make available soon. Custom Meta Fields for products, product page upsell & cross-sell, Shipfusion 3PL integration, a full AI MCP that work with the Fluent Suite of plugins,
Sander W.Β These look very inticing! I noticed in the demo that if you add an item that has tiered pricing in two separate "sessoins" they're added to the cart as though they're two separate items. For example adding 3 of the Dumbells tiered pricing to the cart and then adding another 8 separately, they're added to the cart as 3 and then 8 items so though they're different. So they're totaled at 11 items that then don't qualify for the tiered discount. Is this feature still under development?
A SMITHΒ Thank you for testing the demo and for reporting this, really appreciated!
The Sales Suite is still in development and currently in the final testing and bugfix phase. You are right that this should not happen. When the same tiered product is added in separate steps, it should be merged into one cart line so the total quantity qualifies for the correct tier. I have added it to the list and will fix it before release.
If you notice anything else while trying the demo, please let me know. This kind of feedback helps a lot at this stage.
