FluentCart 1.6.5: Storefront color customizations and more
A lot of you told us about the default color customizations for your storefront. So in 1.6.5 you get to pick the colors.
There's a new Appearance tab under Store Settings. You can keep FluentCart's colors, let it inherit the palette from your theme (block themes, Astra, Kadence, GeneratePress and more), or set your own colors with a live preview. It applies everywhere: shop, product pages, cart drawer, checkout, customer dashboard, even the Stripe card fields.
A few other things in this release:
- Customers now verify their email before accessing their dashboard. Past guest orders with that email merge into the account automatically.
- All dates now follow your WordPress date, time and timezone settings. Emails, invoices, thank-you pages, dashboards, all of it. No more US-style dates in a German renewal email.
- New Compliance setting to choose if customers get logged in automatically after account creation.
- Pro: we went through Authorize.Net, Paddle and Mollie line by line. Better timeout recovery, no duplicate charges, cleaner refunds and subscriptions.
Plus a bunch of smaller fixes and improvements.

Next week, we are going to release something really big and exciting for FluentCart.
Thank you!
This is a really nice update! π The new Appearance settings are something a lot of users have been waiting for, especially the option to use the theme colors or customize everything with a live preview.
The timezone/date improvements are also a great touch. And now Iβm definitely curious about what's coming next week!
Nikhil ModiΒ Me too!
Thanks for the update
Thanks for the theming.

How do we make the update. I can't locate it?

Shahjahan JewelΒ Thank you for the update. I love being able to change colors.
Also, I think you realllllly love torturing us:
"Next week, we are going to release something really big and exciting for FluentCart."
π
F. C.Β Honestly, that will be a great update!
Shahjahan Jewel, I have a question about "Customers now verify their email before accessing their dashboard. Past guest orders with that email merge into the account automatically."
Can we turn this off? Or at least disable it when the store is in test-mode?
I'm rebuilding a website on a dev. subdomain, which isn't capable of sending e-mails. Therefor, I cannot confirm my email address and I'm unable to see any changes made to the dashboard. (I've added some custom CSS).
Timm3hΒ We ran into exactly the same issue while testing dashboard customisations on staging. This officially documented filter worked for us:
add_filter('fluent_cart/customer/enable_email_claim', '__return_false');
It disables both email confirmation and automatic guest-order recovery, so I would only use it TEMPORARILY β οΈ on development/staging and remove it before production. A native option to disable this automatically in Test Mode would definitely be useful.
I have posted recently about the eager need of having a strong test mode, especially for test invoice creation...
