FluentCart 1.5.3 - A Store That Answers π€
A smaller one today, mostly precision work with one nice new capability on top.
Ask your store what a product actually earns. If you connect an AI assistant to FluentCart via MCP, it can now go deeper than "here are your orders." It can tell you what a product truly earns after cost and discounts, which subscription payments are coming due, and read your payment and refund ledger directly. The reporting underneath grew up too: real date ranges down to the hour, live orders kept separate from test mode, and per-product margin detail. Part of free core, ships switched off. Turn it on under Settings β Features & Addons. And anything that moves money still needs a preview and confirmation first, so a view-only account stays view-only.
More in 1.5.3:
- A simpler way to show tax. A new Tax Display Style setting lets you collapse tax to a single clean line, the way most large retailers show it, with a label field so you can name it VAT, MwSt, GST, or just Tax. Follows the order everywhere: checkout, receipts, invoices, emails, and admin. Nothing changes unless you ask for it.
- Shipping and tax that always add up. Subscription shipping on Stripe, shipping tax, and per-item shipping shares now sum exactly to what was charged, with no rounding drift.
- Installment plans, counted precisely. A discount changes the amount of each payment, never the number of payments. Running plans re-sync automatically on update, and the same holds on Authorize.Net and Mollie.
- Authorize.Net subscriptions set up reliably. FluentCart now waits and retries when Authorize.Net is slow to confirm, while guarding against duplicate profiles.
Plus a few nice touches: inline tax class creation, the EU B2B reverse charge declaration now prints automatically on every document, wider translation coverage, and a solid round of fixes across reverse-charge tax display, PayPal formatting, and licensed add-on downloads.

We are doing some R&D about how we can integrate FluentPlayer with FluentCart that adds value. Please let us know some ideas so we can use those to finalize.
By the way, if you haven't gotten FluentPlayer yet, get our 2X Licenses offer right now. Ending in a few hours: https://fluentplayer.com/discount-deal

Nice work, polish and bug-fix updates are equally as important.
Regarding FluentPlayer integration ideas, one obvious use case would be to have video elements on product pages and mixed in with the product media, so videos can also be included in the product media gallery. Another idea may be to bring in video analytics into FC's reports and analytics so you don't have to consult two separate analytics dashboards. Another idea is to put videos behind a paywall. Imagine a video site that has premium video content for which you must pay a subscription fee or a small per-video fee. Paired with FC's quick checkout and subscription features that would be quite nice.
Are there any more shortcodes in the works for the next few updates? We still don't have shortcodes that cover all possible product data.
F. C.Β Wow nice insights.
Have you thought about 360 degree photos integration of some kind so people can look all around, zoom in etc, really useful for details on some (if not most physical products.
What about in-video checkout? Someone watches a video, they want to buy, and there is a connection to buy right there, or have an instant Add to Cart feature. Maybe use video when detecting exit intent to avoid cart abandonment.
William BeemΒ It's just a layer with a Buy Now button (Instant checkout). You can easily do that, right?
Shahjahan Jewel In line with William's idea, what about allowing each video to have its own direct URL that works as a landing page with a checkout? Users could pay and instantly unlock access to that specific video.
It would be perfect for selling standalone masterclasses.
It would also solve a common request from many members who want to sell individual lessons instead of full courses.
And if this integrated with Fluent Community, it could automatically display all those FluentPlayer video landing pages as a beautiful gallery of available products. I think that would be a really compelling use case.
PW.: If you can add a CPT for this in community, and or another CPT for doing the same with doc resources (ebooks, pdf, files, etc...), then we would have covered a lot of what most creators and SMEs usually sell online.
Nice one! Videos as product images, combined with incentives, will make FluentCart even more of a beast. ππ
Live videos to sell products, and of course on fcom feed too.
- Video place holder for new product coming..
- Video for custom orders. No price showing on fluentcart just a form on video to require more information
- Video on front page that links to product videos as a reel. Select which videos to form reel
- Video on category page.
- When a customer selects option of a product that uses advanced variations within fluentcart. compile a video of the product the customer.
- A video on front page of store. Showing products or categories videos in a reel.
- Voice over translated to text.
- Live chart with sales rep instead of chatbot
- Live chat with customer support.
- In video request call back with form
