Feature request: 2-step checkout form
It would be great if we could have 2-step checkout forms. Step 1: contact info, Step 2: payment info. Step 1 immediately save the info to CRM (also for abandonned cart purpose)

once logged: no need for steps if billing data is available
Multi step: if you have the need of asking for multiple fields, separating the checkout into steps could be handy. Like: Step 1> name and email > step 2: customize the order

You can do this with CartCubes Multi-step Checkout. Set it to Information, then Payment. Shipping can be turned off if you only want 2 steps.
