Feature / Integration Request: Revenue Split for Subscriptions (CollabPay or Native)
Hi FluentCart team π
Iβm building a creator subscription platform where subscription revenue needs to be automatically split between the platform and individual creators (similar to marketplaces like OnlyFans, Gumroad, or instructor platforms).
I really like FluentCartβs checkout, subscription handling, and UX, but right now there doesnβt appear to be a native way to split recurring subscription payments between multiple parties.
Two possible solutions that would unlock a lot of use cases:
-
Native revenue-split / marketplace feature
- Percentage-based splits per product or βcreatorβ
- Works on recurring subscriptions
- Automatic payouts or balance tracking
-
Official integration with CollabPay (or similar split-payment service)
- Let FluentCart trigger split rules on subscription creation & renewal
- Keep affiliates separate from revenue splits
- Ideal for creator, instructor, and marketplace platforms
This would open FluentCart up to:
- Creator platforms
- Course marketplaces
- Instructor networks
- SaaS partnerships
If this is on the roadmap (or if thereβs a recommended approach), Iβd love to know. Happy to help test or provide detailed use-cases. This would replace woocommerce integration with wpstream.
Thanks!
Iβd suggest the team take a look at ThriveCartβs βJoint Venture Partnershipβ feature (ref). It works very smoothly for revenue splits and co-production setups and is already quite standard in larger creator marketplaces.
That said, this only addresses the technical layer.
Many platforms deliberately avoid going further due to the legal and operational complexities involved (taxation, invoicing, liability allocation, etc. - and all the needed technical logic for this), and tend to leave those aspects outside the platform... (Joint Venture regulations could be complex. And usually allocate not a few support issues).
Even so, I think this could be a valuable feature for the creator economy weβre all part of, where split payments and real-time earnings are increasingly common: as long as the legal side is properly structured.
(In practice, it often isnβtβ¦ which is probably why many platforms choose not to touch it π )
But, there is a big market for this and a big need for proper tools to make the tech part possible...
Jorge de los ReyesΒ yeah i agree on the need for it. i will take a look at the thrive option. most usually do affiliate programs, which work well. but the way the world is going, more of a need will be soon enough. espically with AI coming, big corp already doing now, Amazon and onlyfans prime example.
