EU Consumer Guarantee Notice requirement
From 27 September 2026, businesses selling consumer goods in the EU will need to display the new harmonised EU Legal Guarantee Notice, informing customers about their legal guarantee rights.
I’ve been looking into the new requirement for a while, and one of the practical questions is how to implement it in an online store without making things more complicated than they need to be.
Since we recently decided to test FluentCart for some of our clients, we knew this was something we would need as well. So we built a small plugin to handle it automatically.
market-it! EU Guarantee Notice for FluentCart adds the official notice to the store and automatically displays the appropriate EU language.
We’ve made the plugin available for free on WordPress.org, so I thought I’d share it here in case it’s useful to other FluentCart users selling to customers in the EU.

At this rate, European checkout pages are going to end up looking the same way: VAT notices, consent, disclosures, age verification, regulatory warnings, 14 checkboxes and a button to request human intervention before you’re finally allowed to click “Pay now.” And of course, a ban if the money goes to a non EU bank 🤣.
Soon every FluentCart checkout will need its own compliance officer 😅
