ETA on SureCart migrations?
Would love to be able to do a one-click migration from SureCart to FluentCart. Right now we have two carts so we can integrate payments into FluentBooking. β¦
Many users are looking forward for this! Hopefully it is released soon...
I heard that Woo will be released soon (mid June - end of July). But not sure about SureCart and if it's going to be in that package of updates.
Jorge de los ReyesΒ I assume it's a much-requested feature. I just don't see a roadmap for FluentCart and thought I'd toss it out here LOL.
Jen McFarland I share that feeling 100% π
Technically, FluentCart is a separate company from WPMN, so I imagine they may have their own approach to roadmaps and how they communicate updates.
That said, I do think the Roadmaps section could use some love.
I've always believed that the day the ninjas invest a bit more into community communication (with their amazing MK team...), everything will feel calmer, less anxious, and a lot more exciting for us the expecting members haha. Not because the team isn't working hard -they absolutely are.
The reality is that the team is putting in an incredible amount of work behind the scenes, often day and night. But what people can't see tends to feel less real. Sometimes a little visibility goes a long way in helping the community appreciate just how much progress is actually being made.
Jorge de los ReyesΒ Great news for the Woo migrator
Jorge de los ReyesΒ I agree with you. The Fluent team should have someone dedicated to replying to all the questions and feedback posted in their community.
Nicolas D Sure! I actually asked the team a couple of weeks ago how things were progressing, so hopefully we'll hear some news sooner rather than later.
As for SureCart, I have quite a few clients waiting for that migration path as well π . Unfortunately, I don't have any ETA to share. It was originally on the roadmap alongside WooCommerce, though, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's still coming. π€
Nicolas DΒ I think this is one of those companies where the culture and philosophy would be a perfect fit for dedicating a small portion of the marketing effort to regular live office hours or short team updates.
Nothing complicated. Even a one-minute update from the team sharing what they're currently working on, what challenges they're tackling, or what's coming next would go a long way.
I think it will be super worthy from a marketing point of view also! (this guys share the kitchen and what they are cooking timely haha).
It's a bit like being on a train when there's an unexpected delay.
If you're left waiting for six hours with no information, people naturally become frustrated. But if someone explains what happened, who's working on fixing it, and what the expected timeline looks like, the experience feels completely different.
For Fluent lovers, these updates would be the equivalent of elevator music during the journey between floors: they don't make the elevator move faster, but they make the wait feel much more enjoyable. π
Jorge de los ReyesΒ Totally agree ! :)

Will there be a way to migrate existing subscription customers? My understanding is that you cannot transfer subs, but forcing a re-subscribe will no doubt cause a good bit of churn. π
Stephanie HudsonΒ my understanding is there will be (at some point) a one-click migration. I'm planning to hold tight until then for the same reasons you mention here.
Stephanie HudsonΒ I see a couple of issues here, but probably the team will sort this out.
- First: Surecart does not create subscriptions in the ordinary way. Specially through services like stripe (your subscription customers does not have an active subscription on stripe if you use surecart. They just get charges on a schedule. You save stripes subscription commission, but⦠it could be a problem for migrating).
- API rate limits of surecart. This is on their site. For migrating big stores it could be problematic as the team mentioned in the past. Sensitive Endpoints: 10 operations / 1 minute. So for big data bases (normal ones haha) it could be a problem not to reach the limit and get errors in the process, just because of this.
Not sure if this may be the cause of the delay. But it would be worth a topic to keep an eyeβ¦
Stephanie HudsonΒ Built-in Subscription Management is one of the planned features listed on Fluentcart's roadmap.
I suspect this is the missing piece to make the migration from SureCart and WooCommerce painless. Hopefully, when this feature becomes available, we will be able to transfer existing subscriptions without requiring customers to resubscribe.
Waiting for this as well....
Still waiting, waiting, waiting for the Woocommerce migrator. You promised earlier this year it would be ready by April, it's now July. Come on Fluent, please don't make me migrate the whole lot by hand.
