Essential Brazilian Shipping Integrations for FluentCart (Correios, Kangu, etc.)

To make FluentCart a viable and highly adopted e-commerce solution in Brazil, integrating with our local shipping providers is absolutely crucial. In Brazil, standard flat rates or table rates rarely work due to the country's continental size; we depend heavily on dynamic API calculations.

For reference, here are the most popular shipping solutions currently used in the WooCommerce Brazilian ecosystem. Having native integrations—or at least a clear API/Documentation to build custom shipping methods for these—would be a game-changer:

1. Correios (Direct Integration) Correios is our national postal service and the absolute baseline for any Brazilian store.

• Reference Plugin: Claudio Sanches - Correios for WooCommerce. This is the open-source community standard. It connects directly to the Correios API to calculate "PAC" (Standard) and "SEDEX" (Express) rates, both with and without corporate contracts.

2. Melhor Envio (Shipping Gateway)

• Melhor Envio is a massive shipping broker in Brazil. Instead of store owners negotiating individual contracts with multiple carriers, Melhor Envio offers pre-negotiated, cheaper rates connecting Correios and several private carriers (like Jadlog, Azul Cargo, etc.) in a single API.

3. Frenet (Shipping Gateway)

• Frenet is another robust shipping gateway, highly valued for its stability. Its biggest differential is the "offline contingency" system—if a carrier's API goes down, Frenet uses a backup table to keep calculating rates at checkout without losing the sale.

4. Kangu (Mercado Libre Group) - High Priority

• I want to put a special emphasis on Kangu. Kangu is a rapidly growing logistics network and shipping gateway that was officially acquired by Mercado Livre (Mercado Libre).
• Why this matters: This means Kangu belongs to the exact same holding group as Mercado Pago. Since Mercado Pago is already a standard payment gateway for LATAM, pairing it with Kangu creates a powerful, unified ecosystem for merchants. Kangu offers incredibly competitive shipping rates by leveraging Mercado Libre's massive proprietary logistics network and drop-off points, alongside traditional carriers. Integrating Kangu would instantly make FluentCart highly attractive to Brazilian sellers.
