eCommerce RSS Feed

Should we have a custom eCommerce RSS Feed to stream products without the need of users/partners constantly visit the website?

Customers (+Partners/Affiliates) who use RSS aggregators can get instant notifications about new products but also RSS feed can be syndicated across various platforms including social media tools, content aggregators and even other websites.

Unlike email newsletters (which can sometimes be seen as spam) RSS feeds put the power in the users hands. They choose to subscribe and can consume the content at their convenience. On the other hand RSS can be use to automate the distribution of product information by our partners.

It would be nice to automatically generate an RSS feed for all products with options to include or exclude specific product types (ex: physical, digital). Customizable Feed Content could Allow the shop owner to select which product fields to include in the feed but also split into a Category-Specific Feeds, Tag-Based Feeds etc.
