downloadable assets question

I have 2 different products that have both the same download asset (plugin)
When I have an update for that plugin, do I need to replace this for every product? Or is it the same file and do I only need to replace it once for all the products?
I believe your question is related to licensing, is that correct? If so, let me address it focusing on that.
Our licensing system works at the product level, not at the variation level. So, if you have two products, you need to manage them separately (in your case). However, since you mentioned that both your products share the same downloadable assets, I believe this is essentially one product. If you want to serve the same asset for both products, you should configure them with a simple variation. Otherwise, different products require separate management. Assets have no connection to other products.
Let me answer from other perspective, well, When you upload or attach a file to a product, only that specific product (Simple) or its corresponding variations (Simple Variation) have access to it. Other products do not have access to the file.
Ripon Sarkar I know, my question is just for the file itself, when I upload a new version of that file to the storage, do I need to replace that in every product (it has the same name, only other version)
Or do I just replace the file in the storage once? Has every product his own storage or is this one 'bucket'. Is my file stored only once in the storage, or is this stored several times, once for every product? Sorry if I am not clear 🙈
You have to replace everywhere since new uploaded file will have different hash. Hope that helps
