Deposit + variable balance payment flow — has anyone solved this?
I sell bulk beef. Customer pays deposit to old their spot on next processing run. Once we know the actual weight we can calculate the final balance. Every order is different.
The installment system doesn't work as it charges a fixed amount automatically and we don't know what the balance is until after processing.
It is becoming a deal breaker for me and I might need to head back to woo until I can find a solution in fluent.
Has anyone built this kind of flow?
It's not easy to do right now without custom coding. I'm also looking for a deposit feature to charge for reusable containers people can bring back to get their deposit amount back. The FC team is aware of this feature request, so it might be included at some point.

C. i agree. in the meantime i went back to woo. i found an article in fluent docs that showed you could edit while order was in paid status, but that’s not the reality. i also need to be able to adjust the balance owing once i know the final weight and therefor final price. I’ll wait till the feature comes. I have a couple of other sites I need so I look forward to FC running those.
