Customer Type Pricing

Is anyone developing a customer type pricing addon? Will the team implement in core plugin? Adult/child, Instructor/Student, etc.. Serves purpose for various industries; education, tour, travel, hotel, rental, etc...

Customer Type Pricing

I apologize if this looks like hijacking this thread, but I have been wondering how WPMN handles VIP pricing, which I have seen. It's a different price tier or something like that?

Michael Fidelis

I would like to know as well? Do you have a link?

Nelson Miller

This is very interesting, and definitely seems like something that is more in addon territory than core (just my perspective on niche things). I'd love to hear more about the use cases and how this works with an ecommerce tool. Would each of these be prices in the same product? Because what you have is actually already possible with shortcodes, which my Fluently Toolkit pluign provides. You could add the Adult price shortcode, then the shortcode for the Adult price quantity selector, and so on. Let mek now if there is something beyond that you are hoping to achieve!

Here are some examples - Lets say you have a college bookstore, you have the same product, but different pricing for the instructor and different pricing for the student...each with their own quantity picker. Another example, You offer a catamaran tour, adult (12+) is $$ price, child (3-11) is $ price, child (0-2) FREE.

There are variations already available. But not sure if you can do multiple quantities of different variations. I would assume you could. It would be the same as S, M, L, XL or style variations that have different pricing and quantities. Isn't this built in already? Weird if it isn't.

Like this?

WendyΒ Perkins ShoefΒ oh, so VIP pricing could just be another variation of an existing product? I bet Fluent team makes a parallel product. that should work for students and professors as well. so VIP is just the same product, but with different pricing or site limits in the case of licensed products. that should work.

Michael Fidelis

WendyΒ Perkins ShoefΒ was this achieved from a single product on a single page? Prospective Buyer should be able to see all options on the single page as illustrated in the main image post

Michael FidelisΒ you can achieve that with url add-to-cart. But it's not built in.

Michael Fidelis

WendyΒ Perkins ShoefΒ So how would you display this on the frontend for a customer that is easy for them to make the purchase?

Michael FidelisΒ It will depend on your builder. With 1.3.10, they now have a mini cart block so you can show the summary.

WendyΒ Perkins ShoefΒ in short...it's not possible at this point

I love this idea, and would really appreciate if there was an option to set pricing based on FluentCRM tags as well as user roles!
