Can We Mark a Product on Sale?
I wonder if there is an option (I might have missed) to mark a product “on Sale” to feature it in the shop? I know that we can use a compare price but that is not a clear red banner that sits on the featured image.
I don't think there's an option for that currently.
It would generally be nice if you could enable custom 'badges' or 'banners' on products, not just for "on sale" but also any other thing you want to highlight about a product. "New" or "Product of the week", stuff like that.
They have this on their .org repo page:
"Product Labels – Tag products for promotional badges (e.g. “New”, “Popular”)"
But I don't think that feature is actually available...

F. C. they call it a tag, but in fact it's a category. OK, I can easily add a custom taxonomy...
