Best way to migrate from WooCommerce to FluentCart without losing subscriptions
Hi everyone,
What’s the best and safest way to migrate from WooCommerce to FluentCart without conflicts or losing existing student subscriptions?
Any tips or recommended process to ensure a smooth transition?
The migration tool is on the roadmap. No ETA, though.
Jorge de los Reyes I think I saw it mentioned for Q4, but that may have been an older target.
William Beem yes! Thought the same… 😅. Maybe they changed it to planned after some updates of the beta…
Jorge de los Reyes I know and saw that a migration tool is planned,
but does this also include migrating existing subscriptions,or is it only for migrating the basic product and payment data?
Ramsis Kasis I can not confirm (sorry for that!).
But I remember that, when EDD conversations were running, all the focus was on subscriptions mainly. So, probably, we’re talking about subs!
Maybe, a quick search for “Woo” or “EDD” could take you to those comments from the team 😄
Jorge de los Reyes I saw that the roadmap mentions “Migration from Woo (Basic)”,and that’s why I’m wondering if it’s only for basic product and payment data, not subscriptions.
As for EDD, I think they already handled everything needed since the team itself migrated from EDD to FluentCart.
Jorge de los Reyes Any update on a migration tool?
Mark Rugen I got no news on this, sadly.
I am waiting for a surecart migration tool for our clients that want to migrate to FC, but I got no news either.
I would suggest, sending a ticket.
The team seems to be super busy with FCRM v3, and even we are talking about different companies (FluentCart is managed separately), I guess it's going to be an important milestone for all the ecosystem interaction.
Probably, we could ask for an update after the v3 release.
Jorge de los Reyes Is it available now?
woocommerce to fluent cart data migration
Noore Alam Mahin Nop! I think the last update was EDD v2, and plans for Woo and SureCart. There was an announcement 2 weeks ago:
Jorge de los Reyes When will woocommerce to fluentcart data migration be available?
Noore Alam Mahin Sadly, I haven't the foggiest!
I am not aware of the team calendar or priorities right now.
Shahjahan Jewel maybe you have the right answer?😉
oh wow. I hadn't thought about that. This is a big issue. I don't want to force all subscriptions to revisit their payment method, as I (sadly) have a number of people who keep renewing without logging in!
Curtis Bingham I think you have to force subscription users to setup payment again... otherwise it would make no sense for payment gateways to be really secured and fraud protected... think!
Vibe Code Hello Vibe, we are planning to move a lot of subscriptions from other payment plugins to Fluentcart. This is done through payment gateway Mollie. From the research I did this is possible without interaction from the client. Because the subscription mandates are active at the gateway. You can programmatically create new subscriptions in Fluentcart and at the gateway (Mollie).
