Wordpress multi site question
I believe when I was beta testing someone asked if Fluent Community works on Wordpress multisite and I believe the answer was “not yet” I didn’t see it on the road map, and was wondering will Fluent Community install and work on the main site of a multisite?
I have Fluent Community installed on the main site of a my multisite. It is working and I have not had any issues.

Mike Williams I too have a WP Multisite and so far it is working fine.
Except today I noticed that a registered user (subscriber level) has the ability to login to the FluentCommunity portals of all other subsites in the multisite network.
Apparently WP allows a registered user login access to all subsites, regardless of if that user registered at the network main site or a sub-directory subsite registration signup page.
Case scenario: An educational program may offer different degree certifications (engineer, marketing, psychology) and wants to restrict a registered user to their specific enrolled educational certification subsite.
I have not found such a plugin for WP Multisite. It would be very helpful for a multisite super-admin to have the ability to provide a registered user with login access to a single specific subsite, multiple specific subsites, or all subsites.
If someone develops a multisite plugin for that specific purpose, I would be the first customer and highly recommend to others!
Thankfully, FluentCommunity subsite portals are not commingled.

I’m curious about this as well, mainly for ease of maintaining multiple communities under one installation, but also for the possibility of having users be able to access multiple communities with only one registration. This could potentially bring it closer to competitiveness with the network effects of Skool
Doug I built a multi site like that with buddy boss, Fluentcrm, WooCommerce, and WPFusion Jack from WPFusion was a big help
Donald Nadeau i’ve been using wpFusion since 2018 and Jack, Ace both great.
I have a bunch of lifetime licenses for buddy boss, but I never actually used any of them because it was a bit too cumbersome.
Fluent community is the first solution that I think could actually work and so far I’m using it a discourse, forum and a learn dash based LMS. We use wpFusion tags and active campaign and some custom coding Grant access to the forum based on tags.
Obviously, there’s still some workaround necessary with transitioning into something like fluent community, but overall it feels to use than what we’re currently doing.
I just hope that site situation will also be similar to what you have set up.
Hac Media the multi-Site is getting rebuilt from the ground up, starting fresh, with new hosting provider XCloud of course 😊new Wordpress multi-site installed and Kadence for the theme with a starter theme being used atm. Lots of work to do, but it is on hold atm for I am building another new site idea that is a boutique selling physical and digital goods with a Community using WooCommerce for free and paid access to the Community, However building is going slow for I can only work on it a little here and there. I also might turn it into a multi-site I’m still debating for I have 2 urls a .boutique which is the main site and a .com currently being forwarded to the community url
Donald Nadeau I was able to set up fluent community on several multi sites, but I have not yet tested. If a user registered on one site can also log into a different site using the same username and password. I think it would be very interesting if we could have a network of community. Under different domains and for different topics, but were able to have a unified login.
Hac Media for the multi-site no custom coded was needed, I used wpfusion pro on main site and wpfusion free on all other sites that synced all user data, logins, and tags across all sites. I used Fluent Forms for free registration and woocommerce for paid subscriptions and access to certain lifterlms courses, and certain vip Community forums and or group access. It was a nice setup, sadly it now sits on a backup, for if still live I would be able to give you a free tour
Once I had set up FluentCommunity on a Multisite install, it would give me a 404 error when I click the 'Go to portal'. However, I simply deactivated the plugin and reactivated it and it solved the problem on both Multisite installs I am using.

I have a multisite. FYI, each subsite requires an additional Fluent Community license.
The FComm plugin utilizes default Wordpress login functionality, which allows registered users login access to all subsites in the multisite network.
In my multisite, I need registered users to have restricted login access to the FComm portal they registered at/for - not the default Wordpress login access to every subsite in the network.
Still searching for a restricted login solution for my project.
