Will there be a way to update/control access for members to space/groups inside the community? If we wanted to grant or revoke a member from something.

Right now I'm testing with SureCart, SureMembers, and FluentCRM to create an automated all-in-one paid membership community.

I don't see Fluent Community as a "membership plugin," where its primary function is restricting access or gating content on the front end (blog posts, custom post types).

This is where a complimentary membership plugin could come in. It also doesn't dynamically change product prices or coupons based on membership level.

Anyone who doesn't use FluentCRM will be limited in how they manage automated access so that API will definitely be imperative. I look forward to it getting with SureTriggers and Uncanny Automator.

I think it makes sense to have membership management and payment built in, so that we don't have to rely on multiple other plugins to make this work (WooCommerce 👎). The goal was to keep it super light weight and fast after all.

Aaron Liang, i get what you're saying but I don't see keeping things light weight and fast by adding internal features vs integrations.

Although I agree with you on wanting the option of more native built-in features.

Maestro Stevens, integrations and automation are cool, but there is also the cost factor. Using 3 premium plugins just for paid membership functionality is equivalent to paying for Photoshop every month just for converting images from .png to .jpg once in a while, or buying a $2,000 computer just for reading emails.

However, I do like the nerdy side of it. It's awesome and empowering to be able to make all these plugins work together for a fully automated site.

it is mentioned in the update here that there may be future permissions and membership access built in.

I total agree it has to be open, I think they are creating an ecosystem tho as you can do basic membership with fluentcrm and even subscription payment with fluent forms.

I'll be using Wishlist Member or Restrict Content Pro to do the access control, but only if needed, as I can see that differed Spaces being controlled by flCRM might be more than enough to create membership privileges.

What membership plugin(s) are you using now until something might come from Fluent?
