Who else thinks a follow function is still missing here, allowing you to see only updates from people you follow in the main feed? I believe this would be the icing on the cake and is the last piece needed for a perfect community, or am I alone in thinking this? In profiles, it would show followers and the people you're following. Additionally, an option for posts to be set as either public or visible only to followers. What do you think? Shahjahan Jewel
Yes, we need more control over how and from whom we receive notifications. I'm sure they'll add it eventually. I hate that LinkedIn has the worst notifications system. It's done on purpose, though.
If think that ability is great for an already extensive community where you only want to follow certain people. I'm just concerned over the opposite problem when it's just the beginning and there isn't a lot of content. In my situation I'd prefer that the feed will include everyone. Also, for the most part my spaces will be for my courses so I would like everyone to be part of the discussion.
I think the best option would be something like twitter does where you have 2 feeds - For you (meaning only those who you follow) and a General one that Twitter picks the content for you.
So in fluentCommunity you could have a For You tab - where it's only people you follow, and a general feed that shows all the posts.
Assaf Manor, yeah i understand and love your idea, but will also be nice to have a feature to allow..(follow system or open system) or what you say, like twitter! what you think about dear Shahjahan Jewel
Adding related request link so the fTeam can Follow π
Follow the specific user (posts/comments) option in case the user is important person like admin/manager/keyUser and get the similar notification as for bookmarks. If a person belongs to a few Spaces it will be easier to track his activity and updates etc.
I think a follow feature is needed and chose that option in the survey. However, I am a current BB Lifetime license holder. FluentCommunity still seems to be much more lightweight than the current BB requirements and database overhead. I will gladly move to FC.
Yes please consider a follow feature. I just joined today and was trying to follow other members from Leaderboard but couldn't.
+1 for the Follow feature #thankyou
Wonder will this be a heavey add, sacrificing performance?
Follow members function yes +1
its finally here ππ
