Untranslatable string in moderation notice
Hi Fluent Community team,
I noticed that the following string is currently hardcoded or missing internationalization (i18n) wrappers, making it impossible to translate via translation plugins (like Loco Translate / WPML) or .po files:
"The report was dismissed. The post is published and visible to the community."
Could you please ensure this string is properly wrapped in a translation function (e.g., __('The report was dismissed. The post is published and visible to the community.', 'fluent-community')) in an upcoming update?
Thank you for your work on this plugin!
I checked FluentCommunity Pro 2.12.0 and confirmed that this notice is already wrapped in the WordPress translation function and included in the pluginβs translation template.
Please note that it belongs to FluentCommunity Pro and uses the text domain fluent-community-pro, not fluent-community. When using Loco Translate or WPML, please select FluentCommunity Pro to translate the string.
If you are using an older version, please update the plugin. If the string remains unavailable afterward, let us know your FluentCommunity and FluentCommunity Pro versions so we can investigate further.
Chinmoy BiswasΒ tomorrow i Will check it out again. Thanks
Chinmoy BiswasΒ hello again. i have checked. i have the last version of commuty and community pro and as you can see in the photo there is not the string that a mention on my post
AndrΓ© GΓ³isΒ As with my previous response in your other post, I can confirm that the string is present on my end... As indicated in your screenshotβ"Notice: Translations don't match template. Run sync to update from fluent-community-pro.pot"βyou need to perform a synchronization to update your .pot file (please ensure that the original (English) file is also synchronized before proceeding with the synchronization of your own file).
Chinmoy BiswasΒ I am not sure if you are part of the WPMN team, but I would like to report an issueβat least as far as my own language, French, is concerned:
The issue is visible on the French translation side but itβs likely a code-level problem affecting all languages: several button labels in the moderation center appear to be dynamically concatenated from two separate strings rather than using a single dedicated string per action.
To isolate the source, I temporarily renamed the two strings in French:
Postβ βPublier*βPublishβ βPublier**β
This confirmed the concatenation:
- Unapproved tab: βPublier* Publierβ (Publish + Post)
- Approved tab: βDΓ©publier Publier*β (Unpublish + Post)
- Approve action: β(Approuver) Publier*β (Approve + Post)
- Comment log: βPublier** Le Commentaireβ (Publish + Comment)
It also revealed a side effect: the Post string is shared with the front-end βsubmit postβ button, so any translation fix applied to Post for the moderation context would break the submit button label for members, and vice versa.
The fix would require either dedicated strings per moderation action (e.g. Approve Post, Publish Post, Unpublish Post, Publish Comment) or a separate string for the front-end submit button, decoupled from Post.
