Why not make the top hamberger menu featured on not just on mobile view, but also on the desktop view as a Hide/show control of the left sidebar menu. 😍😍 May be an over simplification but I think this would remove the need for a diffrent profile/mobile menu, simply making it the main menu.
+1 but also linking related post for the fTeam JIC
ability to expand/collapse side panels (left panel with Communites, Products and also right panel with About and Recent posts) just to make more room - Focused/Minimal mode.
and change the sidebar width:
allow user to adjust column width with the mouse for left pane in case the left menu doesn't fit to the user 100% screen resolution
