🎉 Solution temporary: How to Set Your Fluent Community Dashboard 🖥️ as Your WordPress Homepage in a Few Easy Steps 🚀
I found a solution to set your "Fluent Community Dashboard" as the homepage on your WordPress site, until it can be configured directly in the "Reading -> Homepage Displays" section of your WordPress dashboard. To do this, follow the steps on the WP Marmite link below and install the "Redirection" plugin by John Godley.
Quick steps:
- Install the "Redirection" plugin
- Create your first redirection
- Find your "Fluent Community Dashboard" link in "Settings -> General -> Login URL" and copy this URL
- Paste your URL into the redirection created with the Redirection plugin and confirm
Now, your homepage becomes the login page for your "Fluent Dashboard."
And that’s it! 😊
Personally I don't think this is the answer. There is a very simple solution for this. The "portal" is really only an archive page page in my opinion.
- Just create a new page called "portal". Then view that page. Where does it take you?
- Go to your wordpress settings>reading. Set the homepage page display accordingly.
Ryk Melck, It’s leading nowhere, just to a blank page. The archive page shouldn’t be called, and the dashboard isn’t showing up.
The issue I’m finding with creating the page is that, although I’ve already tried this solution, I can’t find a way to modify the page's source URL to integrate it as the homepage directly through the WordPress dashboard afterward. We can only add "slugs" in the Gutenberg settings, and entering the dashboard link doesn’t work.
Of course, my workaround is only temporary!

Ryk Melck, I'll try again by updating the permalinks, and I also think I need to check if my page is written as "portal" in English or "portail" in French. The issue might be due to that. Since my default language is French, I need to keep an eye on this :)

Ryk Melck, The simple "portal" page works well, and I can see the Fluent dashboard, but when I set the parameter in "Reading -> Static Page -> portal" and refresh my homepage in private browsing or regular browsing mode, it doesn't work. The permalinks have been updated correctly.
It seems that WordPress forces the page, and I don't get the dashboard, but just the empty editor page with the regular WordPress menu.
That's why I used the redirection workaround. Thanks anyway, I’ll stick with the redirection for now and will adjust as Fluent updates come. 😄🙏
Thibaut Tintillier, I think you need to disregard my comments. I have just setup a new site and community and the page does not default like suggested. My bad and i'm sorry for leading you down the wrong path.
