Should I install fluentcommunity on the root domain? Or create a separate wp installation on a subdomain (like here)?
I'm asking this performance wise.
David, it depends on your preferences, you can do it any way you want. The main thing is to ask the questions "Who is it for?" and "Why do they need it?", if the target audience is clear and the method of implementation is clear, then you can make a decision.
If your users are in the main domain, install there to make it simple. We installed on the subdomain because it was too early for us and it was a bleeding alpha version when we started using it more than a year ago.
Shahjahan Jewel users aren't on my main domain. I want there to be the marketing site. So it's clear. it will be on the subdomain where all the logged in users will be.
I installed mine as a subdomain. My primary domain is a blog, or a publishing platform. I don't need or want users there.
Since I'm going to have users on the subdomain, I moved FluentCRM, Fluent Support and other tools where users register to the subdomain. I like that kind of separation. Some people cram everything into one site, but that's not my preference.
