Sequential lesson lock bug
I'm attaching a screenshot from a student for reference. It doesn't seem to work reliably. Completing the previous section doesn't unlock the next one. Is there a fix?
Thanks for raising the issue. We tried to re-create the issue multiple times in dev but couldn't. Everything is working fine.
If you please create a support ticket with more context, scenario or a video demonstration of the issue, it will be easier to find and solve the issue.
Md. Ariful IslamΒ there seems to be an issue with BunnyStream video loading in case lessons are locked, not sure someone has reported this yet. Cc Shahjahan JewelΒ
Md. Ariful Islam I have the same problem, and it seems to me that the browser needs to be refreshed to enforce the full previous lesson completed to take effect. And if I have a video in the lesson, it will not show on the next lesson, even if the previous one is completed, until you hard refresh the browser (and obviously, from a users point of view on a mobile, that just is not something they are going to think of). And my videos are on BunnyStream as well
I tried to make my own plugin for this feature a while ago, and hit the snag that the fast vue setup of fluent framework means that the lesson unlock would not apply without forcing the refreshing of the whole page - which I could not make user friendly.
Paul HopkinsΒ yes, I was almost certain it's a cache issue and totally agree with the point on user friendliness. Perhaps purging the cache should become a default option when making changes in any lesson upon save, and the same for the whole course if a change on the core settings is done, like changing to the sequential lesson option. I tried purging the cache from the WordPress dashboard but it obviously doesn't affect the fluent community installation, where I don't see any option to purge the cache on my end so users won't have to think of clearing it on their browser.
Antonios TriantafyllakisΒ so currently it is unusable in my situation, do you have a workaround that means users do not have to clear cache?
Paul HopkinsΒ I'm afraid not.
Paul HopkinsΒ The issue of not rendering video until reload has been fixed in dev. Thanks
Md. Ariful IslamΒ excellent! Have you got an idea when that will be released?
Md. Ariful IslamΒ please consider also clearing the FC cache by default with every save on the backend.
Paul HopkinsΒ By Friday hopefully.
Md. Ariful IslamΒ so appreciative of all your work. This plugin has transformed how I do what I do π
I had three different students reporting this bug now (that they completed the previous lesson but the next lesson still didn't unlock), so I had to disable the sequential lock in the end...
Md. Ariful IslamΒ in case you haven't noticed this
Antonios TriantafyllakisΒ Hello, we are investigating the issue at high priority. Hopefully in next release, we can find and solve the issue.
It would be great if you create a support ticket with all the contexts you have.
Thanks
