Rethinking Our Model: Balancing Subscriptions, Community Access, and Free Resources

Previously, we used to sell courses (One Time Payment). However, after studying our customers, we’ve decided to switch to monthly subscriptions. Yet, students are not willing to pay for access to the PDF library—they expect PDFs to be free. Additionally, they are unlikely to join the community if it requires a paid subscription.

That’s why I’m considering making Spaces & PDF library free while focusing the subscription on lessons and courses.

Everybody's audience is different. Keep experimenting, that's the only solution. But yes FREEMIUM is easier to scale. I have been doing the exact same thing for the past 5 years.

Pdf and community access for free and then keep pressing them for FOMO for our locked community and courses.

Your right in 2025 no one wants to pay for Pdf's.

Tanmay Kapse You’re absolutely right! Every audience has unique needs and preferences, and constant experimentation is the key to understanding them better. Freemium is indeed a powerful model because it allows users to experience value before deciding to invest.

Thanks for sharing your experience and insights—it’s clear you’ve got a great understanding of the market
