Registration of members in Fluent community?
I want to test Fluent Community more intensively in the next few weeks. I can't find a description of how external members can register in the community. You can only log in on the login page if you are already registered in WP. I read somewhere that Fluent CRM is required for this. But how can I link it? I need your help with this
Andre Salier I am not sure if this case scenario might help you out but you can use FluentAuth plugin and native /wp-admin route to register new users and redirect them to the /portal url once they are logged in.
FluentAuth plugin allows to redirect users based on the WP-Admin role (in this case role: Subscriber) to any url (in this case /portal).
In this case you can just change the default authentication URL to: /wp-admin (instead of: /portal/?fcom_action=auth)
FluentAuth plugin for Free - here is how to use the FluentAuth plugin by @dcmcca David McCan).
ps. of course there should be a way to register a user with the custom login page for those who dont want to use any external plugins.
Mat Β,Thank you very much for your information. Do you know if there are plans to integrate this function into the plugin without this detour?
Mat Β I really like fluentAuth, and I've been using it for quite some time. But the problem for me is that there is no option to gather additional info/accept terms of use as part of the aocial regiatration. And they don't even have a hook for me to custom code this. Ao I'm probably gonna switch to Nextend in the next few for the social login while keeping fluentAuth for the magic login feature and the security features.
Andre Salier, we should be able to register new users with the custom login page but also with integrations like FluentCRM or FluentForms. I believe it is coming. Lets listen the webinar - I am awaiting for the link or news here.
Mat Β,Shahjahan Jewel any info on this regarding registration directly with only fluentcommunity and no additional plugins.
