PORTAL ACCESS SETTINGS: Th portal access settings don't seem to be working since I was able to add User Roles who can access to the portal, but I was able to login from a different user role.
If a user has edit posts permission then they will get access regardless of the access settings
Shahjahan Jewel, where do I see these permissions and how do I block them on Community? We only want users (Employers) with 'active' subscription to have access to the community.
Not Important, well this is where it gets complicated. We cannot change the Employer user role because it will affect the core site's functionality. This is why fC needs to have over-riding permissions. We don't want Employers without an 'active' subscription to have access to the fC and we cannot change the Employer permissions on the core site for the fC. Additionally, our platform has 'custom' user roles (Employer & Job Seekers) and permissions.
Not Important, if we change the Employer permissions, they won't be able to post jobs. .....
Dan, your business case is clear to me but currently fCommunity doesn't have such a granular access control and/or dependencies with WP-Admin user roles.
The fTeam can tell you if this is/will be possible.
Or maybe it's better to install a new WP instance on a subdomain and somehow link users to your primary users DB from the main website (naked/apex domain) and provide them only the Subscriber role etc - I think this is something outside the basic configuration: out of the box.
Keep fingers crossed.
Not Important, yes, we need API access & fC based permissions that control fC users.
