Plugin Suggestion: FluentMembership
Hi team and fellow community members,
I'd like to propose a new plugin idea that I believe would be a valuable addition to the Fluent ecosystem: FluentMembership, a native membership management plugin, similar in concept to solutions like MemberPress, MemberStack, and Paid Memberships Pro.
🎯 What Is FluentMembership?
FluentMembership would be a lightweight yet powerful plugin designed to create and manage membership sites natively within the Fluent suite. The idea is to offer seamless integration with FluentCRM, FluentForms, and FluentSupport, providing an all-in-one platform for creators, educators, and communities.

- Membership levels/tier management
- Drip content scheduling
- Restrict content by post, page, category, or tag
- Member dashboard and profile management
- Integration with FluentCRM for automation and segmentation
- Stripe/PayPal payment gateway support
- Webhooks and API support
- Login and registration forms (built with FluentForms)
- Lightweight and fast no bloat
🤝 Why This Makes Sense
The Fluent ecosystem is already strong in automation, CRM, forms, and support. Adding a membership plugin would make it possible to run a content-based business without needing to leave the Fluent stack or rely on third-party tools with overlapping features.

I'm aware that FluentCommunity includes some basic membership-like functionality, but I would love to see FluentMembership as a standalone plugin, purpose-built for managing paid memberships, gated content, and user access with the flexibility to scale.
I would love to hear your thoughts, especially from the dev team on whether something like this could be on the roadmap or feasible as a community-supported initiative.

What a great idea, I hope the team can consider this. I was planning to use Suredash in conjunction with Suremembers, but I'm sticking with the Fluent suite. If this add-on becomes a reality, it would be fantastic.
I think the membership levels/tiers can be handled easily in FluentCommunity. Create different spaces and use Access Management to determine who is allowed. The same principle applies to courses. You can have discussions and courses in the same Group.
Drip sharing is always interesting. On the Membership.io platform, I had a client who insisted that the next lesson wouldn't display until the current lesson was complete. It wouldn't even appear to see what it was. Her students revolted and she had me change things so each group had to be complete before moving on to the next module.
Tell me more about how you want to restrict content. That seems like it could fit within the Access Management of different spaces, unless you're trying to merge public and private content in the same area.
FluentCommunity has FLuentCRM automation and can have payment gateway support with a variety of tools (WooCommerce, Paymattic, Fluent Forms, etc).
With FluentAuth, we can easily create custom login and registration forms with Fluent Forms or the shortcodes in FluentAuth. I use Fluent Forms because I'm charging for access and that's where my payment gateway with Stripe comes into the picture.
I think most of what you want is here today, with exceptions for dripping and I'm unclear on the restricted content as you envision it.
The biggest concern that folks have shared is making certain that the pages inside of FluentCommunity are not visible to people who aren't logged in, and some of that works out of the box with Fluent Boards, Fluent Support, etc.

William Beem I agree that FluentCommunity is a powerful plugin that already provides a solid membership-style setup. Using different spaces and access management for tiers is smart, and combining discussions and course modules within groups is a nice, unified experience. That said, I still believe there's real value in a dedicated membership plugin, even without relying on FluentCommunity. Many membership site creators don't necessarily want or need a community or forum layer. Sometimes it's just about protecting premium content, managing paid access, and controlling how/when members progress through content.
While access management in FluentCommunity is solid, sometimes creators want rules like "Show this block of content to Tier 2 users only" right inside a page or even inside a block editor. Think content shortcodes, Gutenberg blocks, or conditional display components. I'm still very much in the Fluent camp and would love to see this evolve organically as an optional add-on.

We would find FluentMembers very useful, so we can get rid of MemberPress.
We use MemberPress Rules to restrict content on our main website by both role and membership. This includes events (The Events Calendar) and other information pages (built with Elementor). We also use MemberPress for payments (PayPal, and support for manual offline payments), renewal reminder emails, etc. Would prefer to be entirely in the Fluent ecosystem, but Fluent does not (yet) provide all that we need.
