Just installed - and was looking at TutorLMS, but was happily surprised when I saw FluentCommunity has Courses!
A few questions/notes:
- I can't access messaging settings? It just routes me to the messaging page and there's no 'new message' or anything else I can do with that.
- The portal doesn't seem to keep the sitewide header/footer? I don't see a WP page being created to even edit this. I'd like to have the community still have access to the site at large - right now it feels very siloed.
- Please integrate with BetterMessages - Like when BetterMessages is enabled in Buddyboss, BetterMessages replaces the BBoss messaging mechanism totally. This would be ideal. Because their WebSocket version allows for Video/Audio calls, group calls, of course Group Chats, and natively integrates with the WP Profiles.
- LOVE the post formatting options!
- I use StudioCart for course/membership purchases - and StudioCart integrates with FluentCRM via tags & list subscriptions. I'm sure there are plans for tag/list based access triggers - for when a tag is added, contact gets access to space/group/course, and when it gets removed, they loose access. And then automations take care of the rest...
- Talking about Memberships - there are other static pages, like resources, downloads, etc - that are standalone/available for 'members'. I don't particularly like creating "courses" for these member pages because they don't fit into a course structure. That's why I'd love to integrate the feed into the rest of the site, instead of it being so cut off from other site CPTs and content.
- Allowing Course pages to be created as a CPT using page builders for more customization options.
- The Events Calendar integration! Being able to create "Events" from a post, and have it show up in the Events Calender integration - and this is also why it'd be great to have the 'portal' be a bit more open to have single pages like Calendar, Events List, Instructor List, Resources, etc etc - I can't seem to be able to add links - just says "error" - so I don't know how other pages show up "inside" the portal - how does that content load, via php or iframe? or just redirect? So if there are other paces like "Calendar" and it redirects, then I need to create a new template just to match the FluentCommunity portal with sidebar and all, to make it a cohesive experience.
- Profile description doesn't seem to pull the default WP Profile Bio? I see it got the image and name, but not bio. Also, the URL fields don't cross-populate
Thank you!
Love these recommendations, especially those that relate to Events features and the use of Page builders for the internal pages.
