JPG file not accepted, only PNG
For Thumbnails and Featured Image, using a JPG file does not seem to be possible. It throws errors and only accepts PNG file. It seems like a bug to me.
I would love to avoid PNG files, as they tend to become larger as JPG, and I'm usually not depending on features like transparency.
It should accept png / jpeg / webp. I will tale a look. Can you share the JPEG file via uploading somewhere like Dropbox so I can download the original and test it.

The issue is consistent since the first version. There is no problem with regular posts, where I can easily include JPG images. It bothers me for the Spaces, which seem to handle it slightly different. I tested this with photos I made myself, with photos I licensed as with illustrations like here.
