Introducing Quiz Module - FluentCommunity 1.7.0 🚀
We are super excited to let you know that we just released FluentCommunity 1.7.0 with some exciting new features. The biggest one is: Quiz Module in Courses.
This is the very first version of Quiz Module, and we tried to make it simple, super easy to use for both Admin and Students. At the same time you can see the detailed reports.

Can I add sound reminders for message chats?
Will there be sound reminders for messages? I think that would be cool, and it can be turned on or off. For example, sound reminders like https://mixkit.co/free-sound-effects/notification/.

Chris Davis yes. All data is available in the rest api and we are also using rest API in the UI. We are planning to document all the REST api endpoints within this month.

If you're like me and don't like the scroll on quizzes, drop this CSS in Settings -> Customization -> CSS.
This makes the container 100% all the time based on the content height

Thank you, I hadn’t noticed the image button. But that banner size if very restricting. So narrow. I have used CSS to change the aspect ratio to 1:1.
Is this a feature that can be used by more people than the Pro plan? Or can it be used by people with a free plan?

Awesome the quiz feature was highly needed. I just wish you could customize it more, most especially. ADD A TIMER TO THE QUIZ!!

I have tested it and encountered a problem.
When a member completes the quiz and tries to finish the lesson, this error appears:
"You are not allowed to complete this lesson."
I believe the workflow should be as follows: when a student successfully completes the quiz, the lesson should automatically be marked as "completed." After finishing the entire course, including all quizzes, the trigger should indicate that the course has been fully and successfully completed.
Or have I missed a setting option for this?

I was able to further narrow down the issues with the quiz.
- When the "Set a passing grade" function is enabled, it is not possible to complete the quiz lesson, and therefore the entire course cannot be completed. If this function is not enabled, everything works perfectly.
- In this context, I have noticed another problem. When a student completes the course for the first time, the trigger works perfectly. However, if additional lessons are added to the course and the student completes these to reach 100% completion again, the trigger does not work.
Please look into this as soon as possible so that everything works properly.

Unfortunately for us we don't use the eLearning aspect for any of our projects right now. Sometimes I wish that FluentCommunity was a dedicated to community only plugin and there was a separate plugin maybe FluentLearning dedicated to eLearning.
Anyway, we continue to eagerly await the for the ability of users to set public Display Names and hide real names to solve that big privacy issue, and also the Mobile App. 🤞
Mike R Regarding the multipurpose nature of plugins, it can be tricky. As user requests are fulfilled, they create more pull in that direction - more expectation. It becomes increasingly difficult to maintain existing functionality, much less develop new ones (each with their own direction to further expand upon).
I'd also like to see the Community aspect focused on - specifically the following of friends, social aspects, which seem key to any community platform. And there are others whose focus is the LMS component.
But having these two areas, Community and LMS, may provide an opportunity to integrate something new & original into our projects. Finding that overlap (if any) will look different for each case. Like you said, "...right now."
I agree with your point about display names, and am also excited for the rapid development. Anyway- just wanted to say, I can relate in general. (And sometimes I also find myself thinking 'I wish this were all in the same plugin instead of spread over so many!' 😭😎)
Kudos to the WPMN Fluent team for balancing the pull in so many directions!
Mike R Personally it has or not LMS functions does not make the team work faster or to improve community functions.
Because on multiple occasions Shahjahan Jewel has mentioned that they are not focused on making Community a complete LMS with advanced functions.
That is an extra and that prioritize the development of the community not of the LMS

It is the most improved plugin in such a short time that I have seen.

Shahjahan Jewel Can topic locks be added as well. Meaning you cannot continue to the next topic without completing the current one. For instance, I am at the end of my Topic and the last lesson is a quiz. Currently you can just skip to the next topic. Rendering the quiz pointless. Currently the quiz locks you from going to the next lesson but not the next topic. Additionally, can topic release "schedules" be changed from "immediately" or some chosen number of days, to upon completion of previous Topic. Also the "enforce to continue" currently is not working.
And as a suggestion, the "complete lesson" button should not be available on quiz pages. When pressing it says "you are not allowed to complete this lesson". Which is probably directly related to the "enforce to continue" selection. Lastly, even after completing the test with the enforced passing percent the quiz is not then cleared (green checkmark within the topic).
But this Quiz release is awesome :)
