Introducing FluentCommunity 2.7.0 - Lots of New Goodies
It was a super busy day for me, but our FluentCommunity team shipped a wonderful update. Lots of new features and improvements. So we may release a flagship product, but my other teams never stop.
What's new:
- Space Media Gallery (Pro). Every space can now have a clean Media tab that pulls all photos and videos into one browsable grid. No more digging through the feed.
- FluentPlayer for lessons. Add a FluentPlayer video as a lesson's featured media, and tie completion to it. Students have to actually watch before a lesson counts. Or let it auto-complete when the video ends.
- Smarter moderation. Auto-flag a member's posts for review once enough different people report them. It counts distinct reporters, so no one can game it. You can also route a specific member's posts to your review queue by hand.
- Collapsible sidebar (Pro). More room to read and write. Collapse the desktop sidebar with one click, and your choice sticks across visits.
- Invite by email (Pro). Add people straight by email. Existing members get added right away. New folks get an invite.
- Profile headlines. Members can add a short line about who they are. It shows up in the directory so people connect at a glance.
Plus faster feeds, better emails, and a long list of fixes.

Any updates on when will be released the fix for the Fluent Messaging user enumeration issue? (GDPR).

Jorge de los Reyes I built this as an MVP myself and could not get enough time to polish it and release. I will try my best next weekend or hands-off to the team. Maybe they can ship that faster than me 🙈

Just bought my licenses. Excellent Presentation. You mentioned that you will answer questions here. Can we expect widgets for Fluent Player and Fluent Cart to be available for Divi 5? Any plans add integration with independent analytics (very popular and light weight) for reporting and analytics?

Nice additions! I would love to use FluentPlayer to add videos to a discussion space. Something like /fluentplayer would be quick and easy, but it would also help to have a FluentPlayer spot on Attach Video.
The idea is to start putting lessons in a discussion space. Small, quick-win videos.

JF I want the same thing, but not for subscribers to use. My idea is to mix some lessons I want to share inside the discussion area. However, I don't want other people accessing my Bunny library to post or add to it.

Great updates! Could you add a way to disable the video tab on the Gallery? Since my users can only upload photos, no video . . . unless the videos in the Gallery can include the embedded vid posts.

Currently, FluentCommunity doesn't have a separate permission setting to restrict Media Gallery uploads to only space/page owners or admins like the Document Library does.
Farjana Rahman but how hard would it be to implement this option? Because that’s very similar to the document sharing permission imo. Am I wrong?
AS W You're right, the use case is very similar to the Document Library.
However, Media Gallery currently has a view access setting only; it does not have a separate upload permission for space/page owners or admins. I’ll record this as a feature request for the team to review.

Peter Fallenius Bunny Streaming videos have always worked with FluentCommunity. It's just annoying to remove the divs and change the absolute to relative.
Is the media gallery only for the feed?
Or can we add media galleries to user profiles too for user uploaded images?
Would be nice for users to show more than just their profile photo on their profile page.
