I'm more familiar with Discord than the other communities mentioned here. About Discord, I appreciate the ability to digest many comments quickly, resize the window to accomodate more. The comment metadata is minimally intrusive. A major shortcoming of Discord is the ability to natively move comments, without the use of a bot. Channel management and message organization features should be native.

Appreciate Discord/Discourse layout for software communities over Facebook, as it is more conducive to searching/functionality vs geared toward 'encouraging user to remain on.' Would be nice later to have some layout flexability in window/sidebar sizing. And curious how embeds will work with WP site- shortcodes for select feeds? I tested on Local and added quite a few plugins (inculuding Bricks) without issue.

Also, I wonder if anyone would have a use case for the following?

Multiple community instances, possibly on different servers, and desire to ajoin them (users, groups), but retain the seperate instances. Perhaps using API to allow dual posting.

This would be a nice feature for communities that start off locally, or for business purposes, but later want to partially merge some aspects without combining everything into the same instance.
