Idea/Feature Request:
I want to encourage community members to update their profiles.

I thought that integrating with FluentForms could be a good idea, allowing me to map a form to the profile fields.

Another idea is to send a direct link to the profile and make it mandatory for users to update their profiles, with moderation by an admin.

Once the profile is updated, the user can be unlocked as a member. Additionally, there could be a reward for members who complete this task.

Admin could enable mode: force users to complete user details in the profile - if the user doesn't provide First and Last Name he has View only mode. I don't want to be brutal and force users this way 😇 but who knows what is the best way to have verified users etc

The user could see only his profile card until he will complete this task.

I belive we should have some limits (like regex, min/max lenght) for those fields 😆 etc

We can also add the emoji to user First/Last name... I hope users won't be too creative with that 😇

There is a trick possible - scenario: when I add any emoji to my First or Last Name and someone will mention my by @userName then the emoji will be inserted in the reply or mentions however if then I will change again my @userNameNewEmoji then all old mentiones will keep the previous emoji not the current one (Bug).

So users can play around with emoji in the First and Last Name field - that is why I would disable emoji for those fields.

I was thinking again how to encourage users to colpletr their profile data and maybe it would be good to allow Space Admin to select Space option:

  • Only Verified/Completed User Profile can access to the Space - Then users would see a notice please provide your details in your profile and then you will be able to join this Space.
  • Also Space admin could require to have some certain/minimum Leaderboard level to join in the Space so we could have option to reward active users etc
