How to convert Fluent Community Platform into Android App?

Dear Fluent Community Members,

I wish to create an app for my community members so they can use Fluent Community directly instead of coming to the website. Using the App will help keep my community members engaged and increase footfall in the community. Do you have any suggestions? Has anyone tried it?

Trying to make it more convenient and user-friendly.

Note: I am using the Pro Version of Fluent Community.

Shahjahan JewelΒ Do we have such a feature?

I turned website into native app (web to native) and it worked very well for me. The only important thing to know about it is that apple doesn’t allow apps without IAP payments system (I made workaround with adding physical products to digital).

But I think that Fluent team is also working on app version too!

Thank you so much TjaΕ‘a Peterle for sharing.Β i am currently looking for android version only. is it possible to share the process? Yes Fluent Team is working on app version however we currently don't know the timeline for the same. so in the meantime, I thought to at least start.

TjaΕ‘a PeterleΒ can I ask if you can get notifications working for space posts and comments within the community? Does the badge notification work well?

Mithyll Dave

Paul HopkinsΒ its a good question

Mithyll DaveΒ I used webtonative (you pay and they convert it to you). I also recommend buying their publishing service if you are not familiar with how to publish apps. For us it was quite a journey because we got a lot of app rejections but it was nothing to do with FluentCommunity but with other features.

I definitely recommend until Fluent creates app version :)

Paul HopkinsΒ honestly I have all my notifications turned off so I didn’t took the time to create this feature as it was not so important to me. πŸ™ˆ

But I saw that webtonative has push notifications settings via OneSignal and will try to integrate cuz some users were asking for it

Patients is the key... Fluent is working on app already

Mithyll Dave

Bryan WilliamΒ I agree with you. Just thought to serve my community at the earliest.

You can build one right now using Flutterflow. There's plenty of videos in YouTube on how to use it

TjaΕ‘a PeterleΒ - Wow, thanks for the note on https://www.webtonative.com
I am thrilled to find their services, and the pricing is fantastic. We may use them. Take care!
