Hostinger Forbidden error
If you use Hostinger and get a 'Forbidden' error when trying to modify settings in FC, Hostinger support will tell you to do this:
CDN > Security > change the security level to "Essentially Off"
This fixes the error, but you must reply this to Hostinger:
Hello, my FluentCommunity plugin is getting a '403 Forbidden' error when I try to save its settings. The issue is resolved if I set the CDN Security Level to 'Essentially Off', which I know is not secure. This indicates that your WAF is blocking a legitimate request from the plugin. Could you please check the firewall logs for my site [yourdomain] and help me create an exception or whitelist the necessary rule so the plugin can function with the security enabled?
Given Hostinger's likely inability to resolve the issue, the best alternative is to disable Hostinger CDN and use Cloudflare. Other options include keeping Hostinger CDN essentially off and using the DEFENDER plugin. Cloudflare is the preferred solution.
You can create an exception for the REST API URLs. So for FluentCommunity, REST will be
/wp-json/fluent-community and if an URL includes this string then you can turn off the security level.
Shahjahan Jewel Thanks, I will keep fighting with Hostinger
rolo I use Hostinger and can verify that you will.
I use Hostinger too, but get this issue only editing menu links in FC settings, I just set for a min the CDN to "essentially off" make the changes and set it back to normal.
Gabri Sala good suggestion, thanks....I finally move to Cloudflare CDN and everything works fine.
