Hide inactive members from member list (without blocking/deleting) – or Pending + admin notification on login attempt?

Hi everyone,

I've been using Fluent Community for a while and have a ton of old "ghost" members – people who registered ages ago, maybe logged in once, but haven't done anything since. The global member list shows them all, making it look bloated.

What I'd like:

  • Only logged-in users see the member list.
  • Only active members (last_activity in last 90 days, or logged in since setup) appear.
  • Inactives stay as WP users (so they can log back in), but not show up in the list.
  • No manual deleting/blocking – I want to give them a chance to return.

What I've tried:

  • Privacy settings → "Only Logged-in Users" (good against guests, but ghosts still show).
  • FluentCRM integration + Automation (User Login → Add to Space) – works for new logins, but old users (logged in before CRM sync) stay visible.
  • Pending status – fine for new requests, but not for existing inactives.

Is there a built-in way (or simple hook/shortcode) to filter the member list by last_activity? Or hide users without a recent FluentCRM tag?

Alternative idea: If I set inactive users to Pending – can I get an admin notification (email/dashboard) when they try to log in? Then I could manually approve them without blocking. Does such an automation/trigger exist?

Thanks for any tips – I'm sure others deal with this too!

Cheers,

Catherine
