Hi guys,

#FeatureRequest : add the ability to protect a Post in a discussion (to create something like a Patreon platform).

Now an entire discussion can be protected and we can create such kind of paid discussion. But what about selling content inside an opened discussion ?

BTW: I was thinking about Premium Posts so the user could highlight his post (pre defined eye catching color/background) but I am not sure how to monetize it yet. It could be handy especially for Public fCommunity and Spaces and also could be nice extra income from those who want to promote their posts.

Does it means :

  • you have different group of people in a discussion (admin, moderators, premium users, simple users)
  • you configure a highlight design for each group
  • you have the possibility to put people in group with an automation or by hand

Bastien #Sén, Premium Posts could be available for all users (as you described in the 1st bullet point) but only those who paid per post could highlight their posts.

Note: when creating a new post we could select if the post has:

  • Topic/subject or
  • Question
  • Premium post/Ad (paid)

Example: I have a local community where neighbours want to talk and they post different request in the Spaces. Some of them wants to sell anything. In this case when they submit a post then could select if the post is Highlighted aka Premium. To make a poste Premium they need to purchase it from our store etc. Also it could depends on the user access - if we have Premium users (Paid members) then they could submit posts (lets say without any limits). Premium post would looks better than the regular posts so Premium members could feel as Premium users. Admins or Moderators could submit Premium at their will.

To create premium Users we need a regular automaton with CRM/Woocommerce I guess. How to pay for the Premium post it is just a matter of the fTeam creativity.

It would be also to possible to give Premium Posts to users who completed certain tasks (next Leaderboard level, training completion, login to fCommunity for the last x days etc).

In the easiest example we could give the ability to our users to highlight the user post (by using the Kebab menu) where user could select if his post is Premium.

We coud buy with fCoins idea.
